As an independent college consultant at Position U 4 College, I've found this video very helpful for my clients in understanding the admissions process. It "humanizes" the process that can be so intimidating to college-bound teens. Thank you, Brandeis!

It's amazing that Brandeis was so candid in its reply to heylollipops. I've been wait listed by WashU and Unchicago and they gave me jack all in terms of data. There was literally a frequently asked question on a WashU page about how many students are on the wait list and the reply was, "We won't know how many until after the wait list reply deadline of May 1st, 2013." Come on guys, then tell us how many positions you offered. This kind of openness makes me want to come to Brandeis (I got in!).

Thanks for explaining the process, at first it seemed like a rather difficult hurdle but this video really clarified a lot, thank you.

We extended waitlist offers to 1400 students. We anticipate approximately 400 will choose to remain on the waitlist but we are still waiting for the reply deadline before we have a final count. Last year we offered a place in the class to 75 students off the waitlist.

Students and parents are so misinformed about the college admissions process. This gives you a glimpse but just scratches the surface. At least Brandeis attempts to be transparent. Please be informed and learn the truth.

These college admission committees really need diversity. I see no Asians or Blacks there (unless I am mistaken). No wonder the percentages of these groups are so low.

This situation is because very few black people have Degrees for consideration as Admission Officers.
This situation must change if Black America can prove itself once and for all.
