    • @brilliantmanyere1230

@Dias06 We are poor because the White people came into our country and allocated the resources to themselves. We were forced to work for them for little wages. We are victims in all honest. Humble still waters too deep to stream understand this point. So dig deeper for understanding the people of Zimbabwe' plight.
Some of our people had a revolution and waged a war that made it difficult for the Whites to rule. The country was on the verge of bankruptcy. A settlement was reached and a multi-racial society emerged. In Zimbabwe, the Blacks did not tell the whites to go away. I was there and nobody protested or asked the Whites to leave. In Uganda if you recall Idi Amin kicked the British and Indians out. In Zimbabwe however Whites left in huge masses. Some feared there was no future for them, others could not stand being ruled by a black hence a mass exodus. I dont blame them for leaving, people evaluate circumstances and seek their best interest. Those who remained in industry are still there and doing well. There was the chaotic farm distribution, which could have been done better and some white farmers had no choice but to leave. You can't blame this on an ordinary Zimbabwean and also claim that they deserve it. Its insulting to the victims of this current regime. In 2000 wasn't it the people who rejected the referendum and guess what after that the farm grab was done by Mugabe and former freedom fighters. You cant again blame it on the suffering Zimbabweans who even voted Mugabe out in 2008 by over 76% but ZANU PF falsied the results and ask for a runoff. Our people were slaughtered and Tsvangirai choose not to contest during the second round. Crooked games were played during Mbeki's watch, resulting in a government of national unity.
Fast forward to 2018 Chamisa won but the election was stolen from him.
In short ZANU PF displaced the Whites from power. ZANU PF has ruled and has problems with corruption, over spending, paying War Vets when the country did not have the money, waged a war in the Democratic Rebublic of Congo that benefitted participants such as the Military brass and involved government players and failure to pay debts to the IMF. ZANU PF lost the last 3 elections but either ignored or rig the results and continue to rule. Blame it on the right individuals instead of attributing it to the poor Zimbabweans who are victims of the past from Whites, now from ZANU PF and the future of ZANU PF and new Colonial Master the corrupt Chinese Investors until something gives in. When the corrupt government and corrupt new colonialists finally fall things will change. People are not going to be poor forever. Change will occur to what the people of Zimbabwe "deserve". Obviously you wont like what we "deserve" individual freedom and the pursuit of happiness but it will happen. Change will occur when it's all clear like a blue sky. When the dust settles the lost kingdom of Munhumutapa will be restored to our glorious past.
Dzimbahwe. I cry and lament what should, what could and am looking forward to what will be, which my people deserve.
Some day I will follow the lead of my people and restore the lost kingdom to our glorious past Dzimbahwe.

The Zimbabwe Air Force is definitely lacking funding but in the past they have preformed very well in combat against well trained and experienced adversaries armed with relatively modern equipment (late 20 century stuff). In the DRC they basically held the whole few thousand km front with their combat sorties and resupply missions to FAC , ZDF and the other Congolese government allies. The Rwandan and Ugandan militaries and their rebel groups had South African and Israeli mercenaries on their side with AA equipment like stingers. But AFZ aircraft were rarely shot down. If you don’t believe me read the book Great Lakes conflagration by Tom Cooper a lot of info about the AFZ in the DRC 1998-2003 is there.
