Because people expect her to still be in her early 20’s singing only boppy pop tunes 🙄 I personally like her evolution and getting to get a glimpse of the person she’s is now. Her slower songs are always much more intimate and emotional which are my favorite 🫶🏼
so epic + beautiful… one of the best ‘storyteller’ songs I have ever heard in my life. Easily the greatest acoustic guitar driven song I have ever heard.
She has said she writes about her life sometimes but also makes up stories too that reference scenarios of other people or even people shes made up. Age of Adeline is a movie one of her great friends Blake Lively starred in where she falls through the ice and is STRUCK by lightning at the same time in the 1900's and then stops aging so she ends up BOLTING on all the men she meets until she ends up meeting the one. The references to Blake Lively's character Adeline are too many to name but We have to stop meeting like this and the metaphor for BOLTING. She is a lyrical genius!!❤
except, she makes reference her to her being a bolter in several of her lyrics.. including one of my favourites, Daylight "Maybe I've stormed out of every single room in this town." So, I still think she is referring to herself. As someone who is also a bolter, I can relate to this song so much. She could be talking about that movie and framing her own life around it. For many of us, we see our own life experiences in movies and songs. I believe this is what she is also doing in many of her songs.
How are people complaining (on TT) about this album when it’s so raw and beautiful. I couldn’t have asked for more. It’s feels like the 3rd sister to evermore and folklore
Who is complaining? No one I heard has anything bad to say about this beautiful album. I bet she wins her 5th Album of the Year at the Grammys with this beautiful album(s). Taylor's voice is angelic. I love all her albums, but this album makes me forget all the rest.
"It feels like the time she fell through the ice then came out alive" it sounds like Out of the woods kinda situation as she wonders in which direction the relationship is going followed by "she lost him but she found herself" kinda narrative.
See, I was hearing more Getaway Car than OOTW. i.e. town car speeding, escaping, freedom, been many places with men of many faces, hearts are hers for the breaking. Just reminds me so much of the whole love triangle with Calvin Harris/Tom Hiddleston and how she broke up with CH and basically went on a world tour with TH the next week lol
@@DeannaFello-hm6kp getaway car too in lyrical sense with a carefree entrance and dramatic exit. sounds like she's actually the one running away from the problem but only want the "pure joy" between them so "taming a bear making him care"... like fixing herself that maybe rubbing the guy the wrong way?

There are many parallels that prove to me at least that this album is about many of her relationships just creating through lines. The end saying and now my story isn't mine anymore shows me her era of dating, heartbreak, cheating (both her on others & others on her), holding on to anger and holding torches for old flings is over. I can't wait for TS12 lmao, I know I'm greedy, but I think its going to be an extremely happy, boppy album. Maybe about Travis, maybe not. I'm not sure how much her relationships will play a role in future albums. reputation TV is gonna be interesting interesting lol

This song sounds like coming back to Fearless & Speak Now eras. After listening to this song, I just cry, scream and be so surprised . All of guitars and violins come through acoustic arrangement. It sounds so clearly simple but deep emotional. This my TOP Favorite song right now 😭😭😭
