I teach K as well! I inherited a room that was packed full of 30 years of accumulated materials. It's both great and overwhelming! Now, 9 years later, I've spent time this summer really organizing my room because I know what I need and what I don't need. I purged a ton of binders, lol. You have tons of great materials though! Good luck organizing it all!
I cannot get over it! In the northern states, we just finished school a couple of weeks ago, and yet I’m seeing teachers setup for the new school year ,! Our rooms are used for camp; we are lucky we can get in at the end of August!
So crazy! Our students' last day was end of May. We've been off for some time now. Keep enjoying your summer! We hold a small reading camp in our school and it starts this month but over by August. In my last school district, it was much stricter and I also couldn't get into my classroom until middle of August. This school district doesn't have a time restriction as long as your room is already waxed. With a new baby coming, my room was one of the firsts cleaned per request from my school principal.
