Hey man I was thinking of buying a fireproof case as a birthday gift. I got the noiposi one because I saw that it said it would survive 5200 degrees compared to the rest that claimed 2k. Felt funny about it because it looks like fabric and a zipper doesn't seem that fire proof, looked up a fire test because reviews didn't talk about fires and saw this. I just pictured all of my sisters documents as a neat pile of ash for not googling if itd survive or not. I really appreciate your video
It’s mind blowing for sure! I couldn’t believe that almost all of the “fireproof” bags couldn’t even handle a small fire!
My mom bought one kislux and she loves it. It had been there for over 10 years when she went out with it.
What do you mean went out with it?
FirePOOF bags are innuendoed for aiding inside safes, but i wrap contents in 3 layers of heavy foil first and put bag in Whitmans chocolate tins , then a safe. They should make doc boxes outta HardiPlank siding for main walls because that stuff is 95% cement and I've seen it ignore red coal beds ferocity. Took a propane torch to my RoloWay bag and it was sufficient but not asbestos level protection. Thanks for quick video and blowing all that $$. BTW, 2 metal boxes looked damn similar in construction and name. 🤔
Some of the bags added to the fire (like active burning) so would actually be worse than just having your stuff in a safe! (Which was mind blowing).
Yeah the two metal boxes were similar but different brands and slightly different construction as well so wanted to test them both.
Wrapping in foil is an excellent idea! I'm not sure what chocolate tins you're talking about though, but living for the tin foil idea!
None of the boxes that survived the fire had a shoulder strap that I could just grab and strap across my body to keep a hand free to carry my pet carrier. I reckon though that anything sentimental, irreplaceable, documents I need but don't use often, and anything that would devastate me if I lost could be put in a safety deposit box. If it's something sentimental that I want to look at, I could have a copy made to keep here to keep in one of the boxes that survived and the original in the safety deposit box.
Still living for the tinfoil idea.

Thanks! Took way longer to do than I expected and was really disappointed that most of them didn't protect the paper at all.

Could you test 50cal ammo cans (removing the seal before testing) like the ones at harbor freight? I think they will perform just as well as those metal safes

I haven’t found a single document bag that actually holds up to a real fire. The only ones that did are the metal document boxes.
The products that are failed in your. Experiment is available in Amazon india but the other 2 metal boxes is not available here 🥺
