I disagree that what Chairman Bugri Naabu did was patriotic. He recorded that tape and sent it to the President HE Akuffo Addo with the motive of doing the bidding of these dishonorable police officers, - to remove IGP George Akuffo-Dampare.
Is it not shameful to note that NPP opens its parliamentary candidacy application to this dishonorable COP Alex Mensah? No one said anything, nor disqualified him!

The NDC should be vigilant. The cooperation by NPP parliamentarians in the committee and the apparent disagreement by the Chairman, Hon. Samuel Atta-Kyea, might give the public the impression that the issue has been resolved with the support of "well-meaning" NPP parliamentarians, suggesting that Dampare should be retained in office.
However, this does not imply that the NPP is not planning to manipulate the elections. In my view, this entire situation serves as a warning to Dampare: "If you don't cooperate, we will remove you." He is likely striving to keep his position and might not be as proactive as he was in Assin, where he blocked all the loopholes the NPP wanted to exploit to rig the elections.

If Ghana is to be a very good democratic country, then this will make us change the constitution whereby so much power is abrogated to the president to norminate the IGP/the EC/the CJ and the OSP. Why should we be so blind to give such power's to one person and not expect such corruption!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
