I love how you really made use of all the space to create more realistic sounds like going on top of my head then in front.. and don't forget that low audible music in the background. It felt like I was really in an immersive asmr experience unlike those other asmr videos that only go from left ear to right ear and vice versa, a technique that gets boring after a while.

I was drifting in and out of sleep while listening to your video.. the realized there's music in the background. I thought to myself: I'm too relaxed and sleepy to turn that off...then I realized that it wasn't my radio, it came from the video. Great job!
9 years later and I still go back to this multiple times a week. It's the single most soothing asmr haircut video, and I've listened to a lot. Her voice, the sound of the hair instruments and then, my FAVORITE part is the music towards the end. This video came out during the first month I learned about asmr. My life was in pure chaos and this is the only thing that calmed me for sleep.
This video is so easy to lose after searching and searching. It's one of the best OG 3D ASMR videos I ever watched when I first started to listen to ASMR.
Something about that low background music gave me intense euphoria

I find this video perfect for just one reason - the volume of the speaker. Far too much of the CZcams ASMR is flooded with inaudible whispering and airy breathing which is a major turn off for me. Someone speaking at a normal volume, that you'd expect for an actual haircut, was sublime. Wonderful job.

imo this is one of the better asmr haircuts ive had. i was very satisfied with my new do hahah and the music is fine. for me it's little subtle details like the music and clock that add to my asmr by making it seem real. well done my friend.

Shampoo part sounds a little bit weird...but uh, cool!
I think it's probably because the shampoo sound might be Foley'ed a bit (sorry James) cheaply. Fix me if I'm wrong. But I don't think it's actual shampoo recorded being rubbed on the hair (Or on a hair-resembling textured surface).

I know this is over 6 years old, but is there any chance of you sharing the name of the background music or share from were you have got it?
Also great video. I am watching/listening to ASMR for over 6 years now and this is still to this day the best and most realistic haircut experience. I am a little saddened about the fact that I found this video just now and not early, but hey I found it. :)

I didn't notice it at first, but there's a clock in the background. I found it pretty distracting :(.I have trouble tuning out the consistent ticking sounds. I recently bought a cool clock (it's anti-clockwise) for my room, and learned that I can't keep it in my room as it's too distracting when I try to sleep.

I like acting as realistic as I can, it intensifies the effect, even if it ends up being suuuuper awkward when my mom comes in and catches me talking alone and smiling like an idiot, with an orgasmic look on my face lmao

While this was lovely, the sounds of you "cutting" especially in the beginning, sounded like you were hacking away, and it was very unsettling

not the music but the sound? the music is hardly heard but the sound is obtrusive.. the tonality it makes headache, drives mad (sorry English is not my language)
The music was sort of messing with my tingles. The clock ticking is nice. But I kept on focusing on the music and couldn't fully relax.
