    What about breathability? have you tried Five Ten Freerider( very breathable, feeling breeze trough them, but way too soft midsole, too thin outer sole) So how do they compare to those?
    I currently have 2022 Ride Concept TNT, they are more of a autumn, winter without wet snow, fine in -10C with one pair of wool socks, spring shoe. But during summer they are too warm.

    What size do you have, I have read they run small. I wear a 13 in fiveten freeriders.

      I tried a pair, I wear a 13 and they were too tight and had to return, was super bummed out, they looked and felt well made.

      Wear 10.5 and RC runs small - had to return them. Switch out for 11.5 on - feel good walking around - and have 11 on the way to see which is better

    Been a 510 guy for years. Riding 510 free rider pro. The soles are falling apart after 10 months. I bought the RC Livewire to see how RC compares. I am waiting for them to arrive. Looking forward to trying. What's different from Hellion?

    • @B1KER
      @B1KER  Před 2 lety

      I'm not sure on that model. Isn't that the high top model? I'd have to go look at their website to see the difference.

  • @mtb4l484

    Do they feel narrow on your foot at all? I've thought about doing a RC vs 5Ten video. Have you ridden both and if so, what were your thoughts?

    • @B1KER
      @B1KER  Před 2 lety +1

      They don’t feel narrow to me, however, I think I have a narrow foot compared to others with a 12.

    Great effort on your 90 seconds, my question is how stiff are the elite? If they flex too much my feet tend to start numbing up

    • @B1KER
      @B1KER  Před 2 lety

      They seem fairly stiff but not so bad you don’t mind walking in them.

  • @JaredHoff
    @JaredHoff Před 2 lety

    Not grippy enough. I just did a video Hellion Elite vs. Freerider. The Hellion Elite grip doesn’t compare to the five ten

    • @B1KER
      @B1KER  Před 2 lety +1

      I’ll have to try them sometime. These seem good with my pedals. I can’t imagine what more sticky feels like. 🤯

      Been riding 510s free rider and free rider pros (current shoe). Both are great but don't last long. I have major holes in the sole of the pros after 10 mths. I have about 1,000 miles on them. I bought some RC Livewire and haven't ridden yet, will be interesting to see difference.

    • @B1KER

      MTB specific shoes offer way more support in the sole in addition to being more grippy on the pedals. Regular skate shoes have very soft soles because you generally want 'board feel' when skateboarding, I don't think anyone wants 'pedal feel' when biking. On longer rides I'm sure your feet would appreciate it.

    • @B1KER
      @B1KER  Před 2 lety +1

      I think they will definitely work, but you won’t have the foot protection that these have as well as the sole on these are much stiffer. As the other guy said your feet will definitely feel the difference.
