    The MSR is 0.2 microns.
Alpkit Hippo 0.1 microns & can gravity feed it or suck direct from source like MSR.
Weight of Hippo is same as the Sawyer MICRO (smallest, lightest sawyer) & lighter than the MSR

As a fellrunner, on multi hours runs, I'll drink straight from becks if there high up and fast flowing. If I'm on a run when the water sources are more suspect I take a Sawyer mini - looks like the hippo - and with the grey tube supplied, use it like a straw and drink straight out of the water source. For multi day backpacking and wild camping trips, its the same as above. If needed, the the Sawyer can be screwed directly into the threaded tops of Sigg bottles (there are adapters too for other bottles like Nalgo) but anyway use water unfiltered at the pitch site because it's going to be boiled anyway for dehydrated meals and cuppas! Can't for the life of me see why those squeezy bag thingies are of any use at all - slow and cumbersome.
