Yamaha built the banshee with an engine based form the RZ350 race bike's 350cc 2-Stroke twin. They should have done a second bigger Banshee version based from the RZ500 race bike's 2-stroke four cyl.
Who remembers the original utvs? Honda pilot, odyssey.........Iive in a area in Missouri where they did lead mining, our hill climbs consist of almost straight up for 300 ft.......We also had Sand Drag tracks that used the same materials. Material was called "chat".....
Had or ridden both stock and modded banshees, 250r's a quadzilla, and quadracers. They all have their purpose. The power characteristic and rideability are completely different. A banshee has to be ridden like a 125 whereas the 500 has power everywhere. 250r and quad racers are better for tight and technical riding.
I better pick up a 350 twin 2 stroke before it becomes exstict that would be a motor to put in something dose any one remember the name of a Hill climb in Lancaster Ohio it was part of the national back in the day
I've had both and loved them both. I'm 300 lbs and the Banshee was a much better trail bike. The Zilla needed more RPM to make hills and shit trail riding...Im 2 stroke all the way!!! I'm patiently waiting for a 2 stroke cologne to come out !!!! 😁😁
Hahaha now I know you're lying. Banshee s are thee worst for trail riding. They are good for one thing. Going fast uphill that's it. Terrible looking, terrible handling, uncomfortable for long rides I could go on and on.

Stock vs stock frames up hill? Quadzilla! Because it's a bigger frame than the banshee, more stable less body english. Easier for less skilled riders 😉

There is so much aftermarket support for the 350 twin, its allmost a non-contest, but the 500s are hanging in there.

I had a stock 94 banshee... You can't find them anymore at any price. I have a mint stock 89 though

I’ve had Both. Brand new. Banshee is faster stock. You can reJet the Quadracer but still Banshee all the way. Better all around bike
