Cosplay AND food photography... a two-for-one! Great tip on "cooking with light" by the way because it's easy to just "obey your light meter" in order to stay safe. But safe is sometimes boring.

Hi, Frank, I am learning from your photography courses, really enjoy it! In your vedio I noticed you use a Elinchrom fresnel lens, is the light quality very different from other light modifer, except it can chance the size of the beam? Can any other light modifer have a similar light quality? I am thinking if it is worth to invest a fresnel lens, but I can find very little useful information about fresnel photoshoot experience on internet .Thanks a million, Frank.

A fresnel is awesome if you like the quality (which I do). But it's insanely expensive.
You could get some old theater spots and use those. Or take everything out and mount a strobe inside

@@FrankDoorhof Thanks Frank. Do you think the old theater spots with Elinchrom flash can have similar effect wiith Elinchrom fresnel? I never done that, seems the glasss of old theater spots is smaller than the Elinchrom fresnel. By old theater spots do you mean something like this in the link below? www.ebay.ie/itm/Theaterscheinwerfer-Theaterspot-Fresnel-Lens-Stage-Beam-650-1000-Watt/203259976361
      thanks so much!~

Those are great. And it will be different but also the same.
      Hard to explain.
A fresnel has a "look" that's equal between the two but the elinchrom will be different also due to size and because it was designed to hold a strobe so it's easy to adjust.
That being said. It's a huge price difference and the fresnel is not something I use daily.
