I've only played a single battle to try it out but I would say that this tank is a very nice reward. And I think it was a great idea to base it of how many years you played instead of just giving it to everyone

This anniversary is honestly very nice, ive gotten probably more free tanks and gold than any other celebration.

Because its set so far back from the gun mantle, you can cover up that weak spot on the left side of the turret by looking slightly to the left of an enemy. Imo this makes the turret better than the e5 turret because theres really no way to cover that things weak spot (just have to hope they hit it at a bad angle and bounce)
Yup, that's true, gotta be careful how much tho as you can weaken the angle on the other side
@@Petty360 yeah you definitely can't aim too far or else you'll just be making things worse. I generally aim at their right cheek (or left from my perspective) so that my gun and mantle are just barely covering it up. Its not entirely necessary though. I mean, most of the times you shot at it in this video you didn't successfully hit and pen so its fairly safe to just look straight on
I gave this a go angling like you said. The enemies either missed or didnt pen. Right side seems like an auto ricochet unless vsing a td.
@@Nukapedia yeah the right side is insane. 350mm plus that little bit of spaced armor. If the guy shooting at you can pen that, you probably shouldn't peek to begin with

Been playing for about 9 and a half years on and off and I really enjoy this tank!
It's pretty ok!
I love this tank. Got it for free and was very surprised. I love the skin and style of it. It's an armoured beast in the right hands. I had a decent first game where I barely survived and lucked a shot at an obj 279e winning the match. My second game were mostly tier 8s and a few tier 10s. I ended up doing 9700 damage and 7 kills. Still didn't get an ace badge sadly! It feels like an equivalent to the obj 279e or a close equal. It's definitely not OP as I've slapped some ridiculous shots into this thing in my other tanks and also been slapped hard in it haha.
Yeh it's just a pretty nice tank

Like for example the sharpshooter has better accuracy better velocity close to the same DPM has ridiculous concealment also if you're spotted the thing got crazy angles has a high chance to ricochet Plus it's a tier lower and it kind of feels like it gets better matchmaking but it's hard to say I like the mbp is it nice reward but I would like to see it buffed cuz some tier nines just seem to outperform it in my opinion tear for tear

@@ghettostreamlabs5724I think it’s also worth considering that t9s go up against t7s decently consistently. I always felt bad for the Tiger 1s getting shredded through by my AufPz4
Would be nice if it had more DPM or maybe like 440 alpha also I would like it if it was a medium tank too so it gets concealment

I missed getting the MBT-B for free by six months, as I've "only" been playing for 6 1/2 years, and not the full seven.
But, I got a whopping 90% discount on it, and paid a paltry 2,500 Gold. I consider this a bona fide bargain for several reasons:
(1) Overall, it's a damn good tank.
(2) Its base price is 25,900 Gold, which means that later, when WG decide to offer it "on sale," it will still be prohibitively pricey for many players (12,000-15,000 Gold) so I'm glad I got it when I did at the price I did!
(3) It comes bundled with a Hero Skin, which typically cost 3,000 Gold alone.
(4) It's fun to play!
I've been highly critical of WG throughout the years, but I'm also a firm believer in giving credit where it's due, and this is one time WG really stepped up, and got it right!
By the way, I've found the Standard AP rounds to be quite effective (when fully aimed at opponents' weak spots, of course) so I've saved a ton of money by not needing to spam Premium ammo. And since this tank doesn't get a Silver bonus, saving Silver by firing Standard ammo is a real plus!
Overall, an excellent deal on a great tank!

Train set was gold but was a Christmas seasonal gear.

Mainly because my garage gear is 2 pages. But some time ago a lot more turned up and then disappeared.
The same happened a few days ago, there were all kinds of things for both silver and gold. I bought one item for silver, but then they'd all disappeared again leaving just the same 2 pages worth.
Why the hell do they do that?

@@Sammael66685 just rng. I've had many games I've low rolled every shot in a tank. I've had games where I high roll most every shot. I've gotten a max roll twice. Once in is7 603 or 611 something like that and another in an E4 forgot the damage roll though.
@@Sammael66685 the mercy rule. That's a myth. Someone in 1 shot range i kill them probably 50% of the time which is fitting with rng numbers. People just like to blame rng for why they are bad at the game.
@@Sammael66685 its a myth just like the matchmaker giving you bad teams on purpose if you win to much. Its an excuse bad players use to justify being bad. 70% of the population of this game just isn't good at the good game. Its honestly probably higher than 70%
@@Sammael66685 the devs have never acknowledged its existence. Keep the tinfoil hat on. Your original comment said this tank low rolls alot more than normal. That's just false. It's rng every tank rolls high or low the same its an algorithm that plays out every action in the game. Pen gets a dice roll, damage gets a dice roll thats it. The amount of extra work they would need to put in for a mercy rule makes no sense. It's like rolling a dice except a computer does it instantly.
It is good, but this cannot be angled, you have to face the tank straight if the shots do not enter through weak angles, you can easily pen into the turret where the 50 caliber is with standard ammunition

Omg! I was off the game for a month due to work, just logged back in and I did not get it I’m so pissed I have been playing since Beta and I missed getting it by a few days guess it closed March 5. They better offer this again to the vet players that missed it!!!!!

So far from the 2 games I’ve played I really like this tank. Swings and roundabouts though, first 2 game pretty much died instantly after having my engine set on fire by a pesky AVRE. 2nd game 4 kills and a decent amount of damage to boot 😂

It is a concept from the 1960s (which would fit CW) which fits the Time frame for WWII mode also as it's always been 1920s to 1970s
We already have the Patton, the chieftain, and the leopard in the ww2 mode. All of them were already there before cw mode gets introduced. Could have it either way, but I'm glad it's on ww2 mode.
