A beautiful white DBS parked next to me yesterday and it looks 100 times better in person, which is hard to believe considering how beautiful it looks here. Its a work of art.

I think that the dbs is one of the most beautiful cars in the world.
Wilcows I love both equally, those 2 cars are the reason why I’m an AM fanboy. Think of it this way. The DB9 is the one you drive when you just want to cruise, it’s softer and more elegant and mature. The DBS is the more aggressive hardcore and powerful version that you drive in anger. They are both beautiful but the DB9 is more restrained and the DBS is more shouty and cooler.

Other supercars may be better and there are many cars that are faster in a straight line... but I would have this over any of them.
Joe Ziadan I can't stand it when reviewers (I still like Jeremy though) compare GT cars to super cars. Aston Martin weren't trying to make a Gallardo, F430, R8 killer. They were simply making a fiercer, more beautiful DB9 and I think they did a mighty fine job.

True, 100% Agreed. I don't care about any of the new stuff, and that's not just the V12 GT, its all their cars. They all have a Mercedes Heart, Mercedes Nerves all over the place, and they call it different. Since Dr. Ulrich Bez left, Aston has gone downhill, real hard.

This probably remains my all time favorite review Top Gear ever made. It's hard to describe, but there's just an air to how it's filmed and how Clarkson commentates on it trying to understand what it is. Once a year or so I get the urge to watch this again. Such a beautiful car.

@@sonyviva308 The current Finnish government is a conglomerate cobbled together from four left-leaning parties plus a pussywhipped centrist party that's too desperate to have the dignity to step down, and simultaneously achieves nothing of their own goals. This formation, while being legitimate, is also problematic in itself as it ignores the second and third largest parties entirely. Most of the key figures in the government are women, including the prime minister, minister of education, minister of internal affairs, and minister of justice, and they're more or less making themselves feminist icons.
The current government's achievements include:
-Bringing ISIS children and their mothers to Finland, which are a high radicalization risk
-Irresponsible handling of economy amidst the pandemic. Humanitarian goals like immigration and reduction of carbon emissions are prioritized over the well-being of the citizens. As a result a lot of jobs have been lost, taxes have been hiked and 30% of all welfare is leeched by illegal migrants.
-Increasing national debt by 20% during the pandemic (over 20 billion euros), if not more, and not actually using all that debt to actually help citizens and local businesses, as mentioned in the prior statement, nor planning for how to pay it back.
-Seeking loopholes to make illegal migrants legal, and wanting to bring 80 000 new immigrants to fill jobs despite the nation having over 200 000 unemployed people as is.
-Following the path of Sweden in terms of immigration. Gangs are emerging and ghettos are an inevitability as all integration programs have failed. 90% of immigrants remain willingly unemployed.
-Currently they're hiking the taxes of peat (for carbon reduction purposes), which has resulted in great reduction in production, and will in consequence hurt production of organic food.
Despite being consantly questioned over all these problems, no one of the government have been able to provide straight answers or proposed solutions to any of it, but instead dance around the questions and resolve to gaslighting over international contracts, EU goals, sympathy and other mundane things.

I didn’t understand that when I was an 8 year old kid, but I sure as hell understand what Clarkson means now.
I get what he means that its stupid, but to me, its like the Secondary Top Speed Mode Key of a Bugatti Veyron Supersport. It just feels special, that the key turns into a start button, then you press it, there's a little delay and the V12 barks into life. I find it incredibly special, to be honest.
It is indeed an Emotional Control Unit, if you ask me.

That DB11S is more aggressive than beautiful, and nowhere near as simple in terms of styling compared to this thing. That car has a lot of really good individual design elements, but they don't add up to make a good-looking car. It looks over-styled and pointlessly aggressive-looking compared to this simple, elegant, beauty. Oh, and then it has a much smaller V12 with two poorly considered turbos on it that really tries hard to mimic the sound of this engine.
Same with the 2018-present Vantage. The front looks like a fish that's very surprised, and it's got LEDs on it's ducktail ass, something that nobody asked for. Compare it to the 2006-2017 Vantage, and the newer one looks downright ugly. And then, to make it worse, it's an AMG Twin-Turbo V8 that Aston will say "has been slightly modified to sound different", and that's the biggest pile of sh!t I've ever heard from a car company. That engine sounds exactly like any other contemporary AMG, by which I mean choked, boring, and emotionless. Listen to the old Vantage 4.7L V8 compared to this, that's so much better.
Overall, Aston have just ruined themselves, fcuked themselves royally since Dr. Bez left.
I just hope this makes a return in No time to die, it was gorgeous in casino royal.
Bond cars should be sports/grand tourers not HyperCars .

The DBS is still bucket list car for me. It seems to be the complete package for weekend trips for two. Its beautiful, sounds incredible, has more than enough speed and power for driving on public roads, comes with a 6 speed manual, and they're selling for the price of a new base trim 911!
Nearly 13 years later, this car still has my heart
still in 2020 this car represents one of the best ever built. I am considering buying a DBS with Touchtronich automatic transmission, the only concession to modernity, I believe the aspirated v12 engine is much more interesting than the subsequent turbos or Mercedes engines. It remains a supercar with fantastic performance that will hold great value in the future
I got stuck in traffic today next to one of these (which is why I'm rewatching this now) and I have to say I could never have even imagined it would be that beautiful in real life.
This and the Lockheed Blackbird are the two greatest looking machines ever made.

My first AM was a BD9 with the dbs body kit, trunk, hood, mirrors. It was the DB9-S Clarkson spoke of.
Chicago basketball player had updated it in 2010, upgraded the interior to match and blacked it out. Added headers, exhaust and intake plus a returned.
Flawless car!! Paid db9 money for the Clarkson "s"!!!!

you definitely can on a new 09 model - test drove it today back to back with a db9- absolutely phenomenal. sooo much better to drive than the db9. so much more alive. much more midrange oomph. ignore the 0-60 minimal difference. in the real world, it is miles ahead of the db9. i am going to trade my techart 997 6oobhp twin turbo in for it. so much more, not as fast but seems it - great soundtrack , gutsy hand finished classy road racer.

I would never get sick of turning the engine on. Just that beautiful sound, and great start button push unit.
I watched So much of Aston Martin in F1 past 2 weeks, CZcams recommended me an Old Top gear video which I had watched 2-4 years back and this car still feels like a newly launched car

The DB11 and DB12 wished it was anywhere near this level of beautiful. I'd have this any day over the newer ones, including the Vanquish that came after it, because it was not available with a manual. It is really "bite the back of your hand" beautiful. Add to that an unforgettable, musical, hairy-chested V12 soundtrack, and I want it even more. Possibly one of, if not, the best car Aston has ever made. BTW, that key, to me, makes it so much more special, no way do I find it stupid.

The DBS is one of my all time dream cars. I’ve never had a thing for supercars, however he DBS is a breathtakingly beautiful, pure art, a car that’ll never age. I fell in love with this car from James Bond: Casino Royale & this review.

If anyone were to ask me to tell me I could have one car in my garage, one car and that's it. Any car you want, but you can only have one, I think I would choose this one. It is the perfect blend of beauty, craftsmanship, sportiness, speed, and luxury. Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant.

Possibly the most fabulous car ever made (though the Vanquish that replaced it is also vying for that title I think) and I personally think way better than the current DBS Superleggera, and Clarkson agrees (even though his reason for preferring this DBS to the DB9 was the reason he preferred the DB11 to the current one).

Being Rear wheel drive with Front engine 6 liter V12. Not low as your average supercar or stiff as a racecar. In the rain it still looked very agile , confident and planted. Amazing car this even though its not a footnote in history era while konigsegg's and veyrons dominated
Probably my favorite car easily. Absolutely beautiful to look at and still a good sports car.
So basically the DBS is a DLC of the DB9.
I absolutely adore the new DBS Superleggera but this has a special place in me heart, just like how I adore the LaFerrari but the F40 will always take me breathe away and make me collapse in total love.
