    I always find this type of drawing challenging. Also, nice background music.

    This is the best drawing channel I've found. It's short and straight to the point. Other channels waste 20 minutes for 1 drawing like I have time to waste on that. Good job mate I've subbed

    He's teaching you guys the Loomis grid method. A highly influential artist and teacher, particularly for realistic work, and for understanding and laying out physical spaces on a 2-dimensional plane. Not sure Loomis invented these grids, frankly this guy explains it better than Loomis' book does anyway.

    This is exceptional video on creating perspective for depth of field. What I'm particularly curious about, and can't seem to find anywhere, is what determines the depth of the figure itself -- and/or do you use a particular method for determining the depth and perspective of (specifically) the figure.
    (Perhaps the same question as @Morgaric Shephard below?)

    Your videos are very helpful, but how do you know how to draw the mannequin from 3/4 properly? Do I run lines from every flat surface of the figure back to the vanishing point?

  • @DavidMiller-uc2rx
    @DavidMiller-uc2rx Před 4 lety +7

    How did you know where to draw the vertical line to the right of the center line at 0:54? I remember from your first figure drawing video that the line should be 1 ad 1/6 heads from the center line, but how do you measure this in perspective?

    • @calmpupper
      @calmpupper Před rokem

      Was also wondering this was well!!! My guess is that the vertical line can be drawn anywhere; the proportions will still be the same since we're using the cross method to get the 2nd vertical line, the position of the 1st vertical line only changes the angle at which the body is facing.
      Just realised I'm 3 years late to comment HAHAHAHA but hope this can help others who were wondering the same!
