- Hotel on Sea is a light-hearted observational comedy/documentary series about the ups and downs of life in The President Hotel in Blackpool back in 2004.
This 62 bedroom hotel is owned by the glamorous and hard nosed business woman Mrs Liz Walsh, and has a colourful staff team of staff from Steff the drag-artist duty manager, Sandra the loud and chatty receptionist; Alan the deadpan general manager, to Les the grumpy chef. - Zábava

The Hotel went bankrupt following the lady owner, Mrs Walsh & family being taken to court after using attitude adjusters (Baseball Bats) on a contractor who allegedly robbed them.
At a cost of £600, 000 Mrs Walsh later purchased the hotel back from the receivers.
Not surprised, she's as tacky as the hotel!!

Ypu have clearly never worked in a crap hotel They are totally like this and bloody hilarious to work in. The chefs ALWAYS storm off in a huff and usually with the entire contents of the freezer.
Im gob smacked that the owner couldn't make the effort to get her ass out of bed and go to the hotel. Its her business and yet she sends her staff to get ideas. She should be with them.

When I watched the first episode I truly believed this had to be a just a comedy. No way a business could survive with that many clueless managers running it. Faulty Towers had a better chance of being a successful hotel. GM read a lot of "training/learning books but still a terrible staff leader.
