"Pivoine" is my favorite lip liner. Most of the time I wear it alone with a little bit of chanel le balm on top. I think my next one is going to be "bois de rose".Thanks for the review!

I’m pleased to report my hyper sensitive skin did NOT react to these, unlike the new lip inks & powdered lip colors. They feel at lot like the Sisley liners. ❤️ No burning & they’re soft enough I’m filling in my entire lip with some of the brown-based colors to make up for the missing shade ranges in the current satin line. WAY more comfortable after dry down than those lip-pickling matte lipsticks. 👍🏻

I’ve got Pivoive lip pencil as well, currently wearing it with Camelia Grenat lip stick, turned out to be an unexpectedly nice combination )! Regarding the Rouge intense pencil, I’ve had a flash make up session at the boutique recently and we played around with this pencil and a Rouge Vie lipstick (I still cannot figure out if it’s limited addition or not) and they match so perfectly, since its shade is so close to the #5 (I remember you reviewed it) that could be a nice combination as well.

I love that there's a brush on the end as I *always* use a lip brush for both liner and lip color. Well thought out design and liner colors. I'm especially excited about the nude brown. Mary Conyers I could be wrong, but my understanding is retractable lip liners are often too soft and don’t really settle down or stay well, which is why most lines like Mac, Charlotte Tilbury, Chanel, and Armani have the wooden lip liner pencils. YSL has some fantastic retractable liners though if you haven’t tried them!
Sydney Loethen thanks for telling me and no I haven’t tried them I’m going to buy some now but I normally like to stick with only Chanel makeup but I love the convenience of retractable lipliners I hope there is some they eventually make that still work well

Hi Erin,
I’m glad the lip liners are not retractable. The retractable eyeliners are so delicate, they always break. They definitely break after a trip. So the lipliner in pencil form is better.
I will buy a red and a rose one. So I’m not too concerned about the too many sharpeners.
