Gods I wish it was acceptable for me to wear sarees etc. I love the styles and beautiful fabrics of Indian fashion, I find them so glamorous and seeing their typically vibrant colors brings me happiness. ^-^

Thank you all for your positive responses. Yes the fear of being attacked for cultural appropriation is a concern if mine. I personally think there is a difference between actual cultural appropriation vs loving and embracing other cultures and their styles respectfully, but we live in time where many ppl don't see this and anyone who isn't of said culture gets lashed out at for anything of the sort. I've always loved and been fascinated by cultures around the world and see so much beauty. I think sharing these cultures brings us together. Maybe one day I'll be brave enough to go against the current and try this style myself. Thank you all again for your encouragement. ❤️

Hi, thanks a lot for the feedback. This drape is a traditional South Indian half saree drape. People have come up with multiple variations within the style, one of them being the kappulu, which is draped at the back as shown in our video. Just like that we’ve also added a little bit of our own touch with the second set of pleats that she then tucks at her hip in the end. This is an original Glamrs video :) Thanks for watching.

Lot of people are commenting this is copied and you have replied saying that it isn't and that it is actually a traditional half saree style. That's not true, the half saree style is usually a traditional silk skirt and blouse with a duppatta or shall draped over it,we do not use an entire saree for it, we don't add pleats in the back for it, we don't pleat extra material on the side for it. Many Bollywood versions of it was with lehengas true, but you have actually copied each step from tiabhuva's video, there was no reason for you pleat, pin, turn the skirt around, tuck the pleats on the side, then turn it back around,drape each side and add a belt at the end EXACTLY like she showed as tips and tricks. If you weren't copying, then there would be a difference in the process naturally, even if the outcome looked exactly the same. You went and did each step literally shown exactly as in her video 🤷 so the argument of it being "inspired" or it is the "traditional way" is not the case here ✌️
