Another great show lads. I'm not sure if I listened to or missed the last few shows as I was depressed after the Dubs loss to Cork. Got a pick me up from this show though 😁. Yous hit the nail on the head with Galway vs Dublin, how many times had the Dubs a shot on but recycled back only to be eventually turned over, these systems are drilled into players from a young age now and happening in all sports and it suppresses their overall skill & ability, especially when teams are now picking brawn and other physical attributes over pure raw skill. Galway didn't bring a wreckless abandonment in their attack but they did bring buckets of intensity, raw skill going forward and didn't fear having a shot from way out which deservedly won them the game, they were a treat to watch. I feel though that could of been their All Ireland Final, Kerry's to lose now imo, they beat Derry with ease, looked like they had a lot more in them if they needed it. If you don't count penos, Donegal the only team left who have lost a game this championship. Kerry & Galway still unbeaten, and Armagh lost to Donegal on penalties.

Although Donegal were always going to win, it was a great spectacle to see both teams shooting for points rather than recycling and recycling ball. Both teams played with a certain amount of abandon. Louth came within 4 points in the second half and with a bit more experience could have made this a tighter contest

Congrats to Galway on beating us. They did it in style too knocking over some great scores coming down the stretch. Hope the Tribesmen go on and win it now. Anybody but Kerry really they have won enough.
Performance of the weekend.. perhaps even the year...goes to Tipperary minor hurlers on their remarkable 13 man victory at the home of their great rivals Kilkenny. It was sensational.
It's refreshing to hear the respect Shane McGrath has for Kilkenny and he says all his Tipp team mates feel the same.
Pity the likes of Verney have so much hatred for Tipp. Pure vitriol. Few ex Kilkenny hurlers like Jackie Tryrell, Brian Hogan and Eddie Brennan often stick the knife in too. Tyrell's chapter on Tipperary in his book was the biggest hatchet job on a county i've ever read in my life. Said more about him than anything else imo. I don't think there's any place in the game for such hatred.
P.S the look of absolute disgust and horror on Verney at the shows introduction when Shano mentioned the Tipp win. His beloved Kilkenny beaten in Nowlan Park by 13 Tipp men will give Verney nightmares for decades to come.

@@1choccoman I know that but hasnt stopped him sticking the knife in down the years, possibly before he got married. Maybe it took a good Tipp woman to knock the hatred out of him 😃 .I've noticed it with few other Kilkenny lads too. They certainly have more hatred in them for Tipp than the other way around.

The only downside to Tipperary's fantastic win is there will no doubt be a celebratory song released by the Two Ronnies and all our ears will suffer greatly 😂

Dublin always started their best team. They were just fortunate to have a good bench

Good god if a county player cannot score from thirty five yards out it is a sad day.

Who said they can't? Did you see Shane Walshs points, Tommy durnin, peader mogĂĄn, cillian McDaid?
As good as scores as you'll see. Some of the football back in the 80s and 90s was absolutely woeful.
