Can I suggest that you put up a chart of best & 1st choice (most recommended) heroes for air, tanks & navy, & then a 2nd choice (alternate recommended) list. & what positions they should be placed in. & than you can list why you recommend the 1st & 2nd list & how the 3 positions work. Put it up online so we can refer to it. Think of it like the encyclopedia of heroes line up for top war... thank you bro...

If I make a list of : 2nd best heroes for a certain unit type, a lot of players will invest in them And that’s wrong .

I like that you point out that you put certain heros in only if you actually want to build a march of that type. If you are not planning on building an airforce for now, sure put shinji in army. if you don't plan to build an army for now, you are free to use optimus elsewhere, based on your other heros. To have stong marches on all three types is the absolut endgame. Don't try to develop all 3 at the same time. as T-Me said, be clever. And yes even Maximo can be the hard hitting hero in army or navy, if you do not plan to have an airforce for now.

Only have one question, how do you know which hero is a defensive buff, offensive buff and a hard hitters?

If you see the hero's page, on the top above their head, there is several icons. Those icon shows the "type" and "strength" of the hero. If i'm not mistaken, optimus prime's icon shows the he is a army hero, he had defensive skill (invulnerability buff).
If you want to know the specific, you have to read each hero's skill. Invulnerability, hp shield are example for defensive buff. Attack and damage increase percetage and the skill that make the enemy take extra damage (i'm sorry i forget the name) are example of offensive buff. extra missile (katyusha skill), follow up attack (prime and shinji) and counter hit (polik) are example of personal ofrensive buff or you can say a hard hitter hero. Also, the hard hitter usually have way higher attack points than defensive points (two of the three symbols you see below the hero)
I am explaining this at tier one level, simply because way to many people haven’t understood why this is so important yet.
Since last November..when Shinji came out (later Layla ) we see the a way stronger solution:
- a hero with high war stats (and low defense stats) with JUST THIS INDESTRUCTIBLE buff… this is absolutely enough (together with your damage reduction) to be your main defense , in your march .
Yes. That’s true…but this symbols got lately very confusing. Better is to read the hero skill .

Hello Timmy, I use for my army Megatron and Prime lvl 5 exclusive both and a Bradley at level 7 exclusive. Can I translate that as Prime the defence hero, Megatron the hard hitter, and Bradley the attack buffing hero since his exclusive gives me +30% damage increase? Optimus is a defense buffing hero
Megatron has :
- a hard hit
PLUS
- a small offence buffing hero
BUT brandley is an defense buffing hero
I would suggest to switch Bradley out with gipsy.
It’s obvious you had invested in Bradley to get lvl 7. Cause I don’t have it cause I never aimed for it

We can test out all the possibilities in stream and later put 1 or 2 videos explaining about hero usage like older videos😅
I do that …just in streams is more interactive. You guys ask: test hero a+b+c …I put perks , skill on them ..then we test and I explain.
Due to many possibilities to set a march (some are best but some are bad)..I am not mentioning some hero combination..cause they are bad.
You guys may think: oh, maybe he forgot that possibility. So the stream answers way more questions .

But of corsd you have to understand the importance of 5 es+ so that concept f2p hero is not completely wrong you still haveto pick the heros wich won't need 5es to be strong
To explain myself better :
There is NO POINT TO HURRY.
- you aim to unlock the best hero …and sometimes you must wait …it’s doesn’t change the fact that you still need this time to get the 630 universal hero shards
- the fact that it takes you longer is NOT necessary a disadvantage…quite the opposite: sometimes you can skip heroes
- the lvl 5 of heroes…sure makes the heroes even stronger…but we must accept that this is a road towards that
So universal heroes shards and hero special skills are 2 different things.
Bottom line is: investing universal hero shards (or gems) in absolutely useless 3 years old heroes …just to say: here is my march: is a bad mistake.
I am a very hasty person myself …I know exactly how this text sounds …but your patience and knowledge will , inevitably, lead you to a higher performance.

I have forwarded the video to the dev team…they were not amused …and now see the mess.
Of course they must take in consideration that so many players spent a lot of money to get this : broken mechanics which should never been in the game in the first place .
Look at the tree…compare War beast with MM’s drone …it’s obvious why the drone is absolutely not worth it and weak …cause no MM would go for that ..MM are mainly f2p / low spenders .
But the real challenge here is to get the community to react …not the devs to listen.

Hi T-Me, Again overall you make great videos & I am a fan but sometimes you get things wrong. I think it is hard for you to be objective becaue you are a big spender on the game (a Whale). First Karuzo also must be purchased & he is super important & there SHOULD be 2 categories, because all these new heros you claim you get for free (well is it really for free considering you have to use a lot of Gems?? ) you are going to need to spend a lot of money to build them up especially there exclusives, so I would for sure classify them as Not Free Heros. So again since this game is Pay to Win & there are lots of players who want to Play For Free they should not even think about any of these New Heros unfortunately, unless the super greedy Monsters from Rivergames decide to change things in the Game. They can get the "Free Heros" actually for Free & can level them up even including there Exclsuives for free & now even Mutate most of them, for free, to make them stronger (1 thing Rivergames did add that was good). So for a "Free Player" what you are describing is all wrong. I also have been playing for over 2 years & I hope others trully understand that there are big differences. As T-Me mentioned there are no Free Heros that are anywhere as good as Paid ones (Katy comes close) so therefore there must be 2 categories then from there, a breakdown in each. I hope others will realize this from the start.
Category 1: Free to play, Free heros, Pros: Free / Cons: will always be very weak.
Category 2: Must Pay, Pros: have a chance to be strong & competative in Battles, etc., get latest Heros etc. / Cons: Must spend decent amount of $$.
Just as a reference for those who do not know, the 4 strongest players in the Game (Take, Ken, Lorca, Istanbul) have literally spent over 1 Million USD $$ on their accounts (or something very close). Yes that is correct over 1 Million ($1,000,000.00), & many others have spent over $500,000.00 just to be a very strong player (super greedy Monsters from Rivergames). Just to get to VIP 16 you must spend around $50,000.00. I think that is awesome that they have that type of money to spend on a Video game, I am certainly jealous. But again as you can see with the Heros there must be 2 Categories.
And lastly even though once in a while T-me makes a mistake (as we all do) I would highly reccomend ALL should watch all his videos. I am saying this very objectively especially I will use myself as an example: I currently have spent around 80k on the game so hence I am VIP 16. But only have a CP of 35M. That is because I made so many purchasing mistakes over the last 2 years & had I watched CZcams Videos first on how to play the game & the Strategies I could have spent at least 25% less for the same CP of 35M. So as you can see a big difference.
I do respect your opinion. Maybe I didn’t explained it that well after all.
1. Difference between heavy spenders and free to play will never go away …in real life is the same also.
2. As free to play …I would be MM and very active to reach one of those string alliances…
Manage my gems …and trying to achive good rates in events like flippy , numbers event.

After we see the last hero , I will make a different video about : the best unit performance which you should start with.
I would hold my universal hero shards very tight to be honest …till I get a gold hero to invest in.

But what I am trying to say is that since there will always be a difference hence Hero chooisng will always be different & should be different. Again your videos are great but in this one you make it seem that there should not be & that all should choose the same way & I am sorry that is wrong. There should be 2 categories & hence choosing Heros in 2 categories.
Category 1: Free to Play/Low spenders - Choose heros ....
Category 2: High spenders - Choose heros ....
So either make 1 Video for both or ideally 2 seperate Videos -

Especially, so what they now give gipsy , crimson for free. If you are a free to play then they are useless how are you ever going to level them up at least in a reasonable time not Years. For example the Power Cores for Morale. You need over 8000 !! Getting them for free will take 12 YEARS to complete all. So that is useless for a free player, which again is fine if they want to make money on them but you cant say that is the same.
Sorry this is a very touchy subject because as I wrote at least 25% of my money went down the drain because either I didnt research or I did & people gave me wrong advice. Since so many people of ALL levels are going to watch your videos, you should be careful of how you give advice. I dont want what happened to me happen to others!
The only thing I am very afraid of is:
Taking your example…free heroes….many will understand: ok…let’s work towards the 5 stars.
And this is more bitter then everything …as it takes a f2p way way longer to get this universal hero shards.
Not only I respect your opinion…I am trying to draw some conclusions so I can evolve myself …to improve towards being able to help best any player .
For example…I have gazzilions of DMs every single day …and despite being very well aware that it will take me minimum 20 mins to finish help one player….I always start with:
Show me all the heroes you got …it’s extremely important for me: your status quo…
Cause a good advice starts with: using what you have in the best way possible.

If this helps...your Video Editing skills obviously have gotten better & you make them more fancy with sub-titles, pictures etc. I doubt that is really necessary. We come to get information & what you do with Battle Reports etc is great. I dont think you need to spend all that extra time making the Videos more fancy. I never had a CZcams channel so I am just giving an opinion especially since it can take a lot of your time up. But most important is the content and try to think of all level of players when giving advice
Completely disagree with you. The reason people say they are FTP and PTP is because of availability. I can name 20+ apps from playing them the last 5 years that make obtaining a hero much, much, MUCH easier and consistent especially after an event. Their rolling systems are much better and still use RNG. But every hero after it's first months release NEEDS to be put into the FTP pool. I've played Top War for over a year as a FTP and can't even get these heroes past 2 maybe 3 stars. Its gotten to where the only heroes I can use are the FTP heroes because I atleast have a chance to not only get them but level their talents. Who wants to spend a year+ trying to save all the mats (materials) in order to finally get 1 hero up to 5 stars and level 5 talent. Lets take Castle Clash for example: the heroes are put into the overall rolling cycle from day one. I agree with Top War put the lucky treasure so you can atleast only a 1 star but after it's release date put it in the pool for a possibility to obtain, there is currently ZERO way to gain the tranformers, or past heroes what so ever. And for gawd sakes Top War stop with putting mats, and purples on premium rolls, and enough with the GAWD DAMN 1 chip only. Make it either 5 or 10! I started playing with 40 friends and there are only 2 of us left because of all the f----ing RNG!
Important side note. Transformers were great heroes with a very long life in topwar : ( 2years ).

I have every single old hero at 5 stars ..and I know exactly how I’ve done it : recruiting + hero return (which means spending gems on those fragments).
Absolutely nothing justifies wasting your resources. For me it doesn’t . What and how people decide to do , it’s ofc their choice.
I’m just trying to help with as best advices possible.
And my honest opinion…as you mentions so PROFESSIONAL faming developing companies: rivergame ‘s “business “ will never be successful.
You increase and stabilize your revenue BY NOT FOCUSING on the revenue (aka : I got corrupted to the point : I’m call this ‘event’ but they are just sales WITH NO PURPOSE)
The main focus and goal must be : delivering a good gaming experience to ANY player .
I don’t know who likes this “categories” : f2p, spenders , whales…for me : they play no role :
Just friend and people which I don’t know.
Regardless of which type of customers that is …being extremely unhappy results into him quitting …and this will affect his friends (again: regardless of their category)

And we need at least 10k for sure …the more we are …the more serious this issue will be taken
Your framing is kinda dishonest in how you classify “f2p” and “p2w” heroes when it’s commonly understood as a concept.
The f2p heroes are ones where upgrades are available in boxes or as drops. Radar missions, TG boxes, etc. They are ones that with extremely low or even zero gem outlay you can viably raise them in a reasonable time.
The p2w heroes are ones where you have absolutely no chance of making them viable in any way without spending a metric ton of gems. Whether that be spending gems directly in events associated with that hero exclusively, or updating that hero through universal shards that are coming primarily coming through gems.
And gems are coming from making in-app purchases with real money. Whether that is your money being spent or member of your alliance filling up the alliance chest through their in-app purchases with real money.
I find it the opposite of helpful to pretend that some of these heroes are viable in any way to run without “paying” for them. Sure you could spend an entire year of grinding to upgrade a singular hero to 5* level 120 with es 5+ technically. Sure. But that is in no way a viable strategy.
I think it’s very easily understood that there is a major disparagement between the effort to acquire them. The f2p will just become 5* es5+ naturally for all of them in like 6-9 months through normal game play. The other p2w list would take a year for a singular hero to reach those mark if you were trying to do it “free”.
Let me explain a bit better .
The common currency in topwar are the gems .
ONLY need to :
- be online to unlock the heroes with gems (some where even FREE: Gispy , crimson , striker)
The account strength does NOT necessarily matter …won’t change : the rank list of the account upgrades . There is a video on that also :

In other words …what mostly happens:
Inexperienced player ..with take their gems and go to :
- perks , skins, default heroes (hero return) …and this is not a step which gives you the maximum performance in return .
NOT saying this steps are NOT important …cause they are ..I’m saying : get at least 2 best heroes to 5 stars …then worry about perks , skins.
Yes we have payed heroes : Amalia , Kuruzo ..they are mainly utility heroes and they do help ….but the rest of the heroes are obtained absolutely free (presumably you are checking what hero is on lucky treasure …knowing what heroes you need).
This is the best advice out there and the one I follow when I’m developing my account.
Not asking you guys to follow this : point by point …I’m saying:
If you seek the infos , you will find it on my channel + the fast and qualified answer to you dm .
In the end , you guys decide if you gone apply this OR NOT.
Heroes are the most important thing in game and many players think the heroes in topwar are like the cards in monopoly go .
The goal being : completing everything. It’s NOT.

@@t-me8295 Thats all well and good but doesn’t address the main thrust of the argument I made. Let’s take two heroes as an example.
Sam. This would be generally understood as a “f2p” hero. You can reasonably get him to 5* es5 through normal gameplay because there are numerous ways to upgrade him through regular non-gem spending gameplays. The premium draw tickets. The exclusive draws if you are selecting army. Occasionally you can find his shard for 100 gems in TG store if you intended for him to be a perk mule option. But it is perfectly reasonable to upgrade him fully without using a singular universal shard. Total number of gems spent: Potentially 0.
Max: This would be commonly regarded as a p2w “paid” hero. Not available through normal gameplay whatsoever. Not in premium draws. Not in exclusive draws. Not available in TG store at all. Not available in cheap events like “Heroes Return”. The only way to upgrade him is through universal shards. And you are looking to spend north of 100,000 gems to do that. And another 100,000+ to get ES completed. Or you are going to spend a year of time to diverting all resources gained through gameplay to doing this for “free”. Or you are going to spend hundreds of dollars in RL currency. Or a combination of the three.
So there is a pretty clear distinction between these two heroes, which their quality and outlay of resources required signifies.
And honestly I find it dishonest to pretend “they are both free” because technically they can unlocked easily when there is no value in just doing that part. Having a 1* Max isn’t doing your account any good and is unusable; so why focus on that aspect of it to define or describe him?
The important part is what kind of investment is going to be required to make him viable and usable.
Sam requires 0 gems and is basically given away over time. Max requires a quarter million gems and/or a years worth of grinding and/or spending a car payment in real life money. Like it’s a pretty stark and clear and obvious difference to be able to identity the difference between those two concepts.

My channel goal is to help player …and not to earn money . It’s should be extremely obvious by now .
Example : I spend around 30-350 $ just to get the newest hero asap to 5 stars + lvl 5 within 2-2 minutes of its releasing .
Sure it would be cheaper to buy certain packs on certain amount of days :aka 180$ per lvl 5 ..so I can test and show it to you guys.
But that would also mean, you would have to wait 5-6 days till I have the lvl 5 to test and show so you can decide for your account.
The indirect revenue from the views may bring 7-10$ vs 300-350$ costs.
I offer this help …start the stream and we test together…so you can understand better : can I skip this hero ? Yes or no !
Bottom line …you can “accuse” me of anything…BUT being impartial…my advices NOT being the best you can get out there or aiming to earn money with think channel.
I dont prefer to talk about how much each item costs in order to start testing , understanding, explaining it in videos or stream…
BUT TIME IS…we are talking about : 10-15h everyday since January:
- videos
- answering DMs . On CZcams , in game, on discord
- talking to the TW team
I do this from pure dedication and in the hopes to keep a great and big community in this game .
