I have found that Paradise Galleries dolls look exactly like their photos on the site where Ashton Drake dolls tend to look very different than the photos. I'm not sure if they are photographing the original sculpt or more carefully hand painted prototype dolls. I will never purchase an AD doll without seeing photos of the dolls people actually receive.
I noted that it says on the website that it’s an artist’s rendering of the doll….basically a painted picture of what the doll looks like. No other company does this. If it’s not an exact photo then how do you know as a consumer that you want it??? I always had to search on CZcams for their box opening videos to decide if I wanted the doll or not. I find it frustrating & time consuming.
Hi 😊 I like some of each company (dislike some as well) but definately lean more towards Ashton Drake and have more dolls from them. I love the So truly Real - Real Touch vinyl ... I have reborns also, but I do love factory dolls😊 Some cloth bodies on the Ashton Drake dolls are more lacking in quality and also some on the sizing (proportions - length). I do not like the wire armature in Ashton Drake dolls and do take it out (I leave it in the limbs-but not in the cloth body). 😊 ... I've never purchased one new, always used and usually need cleaning and maybe repair😊 I love to restore these babies best I can 😊
Great comparison. I have had several of each brand. Most I no longer have. I enjoy my reborns more. The funny thing is I still have 2 of my most favorite Ashton-Drake and 2 of my most favorite Paradise Galleries. Have a good new week. 🌹❤
Thank you! I enjoy my reborns most too but I still love collecting other dolls too! Especially since I can share these ones with my daughter while she’s little. She LOVES baby dolls! 🥰 Right now she’s at an age where I let her play with mostly the Berenguer dolls.
How old is your little girl? It's great that she plays with the Berenger dolls! Sounds like you may have a future doll collector on your hands. 🥰 That's how I started out. I loved baby dolls. 🌹❤

I bought a Berengher doll for my Granddaughter. She loves him.
My first reborn was an Ashton Drake. Realtouch partial silicone, I did not like it.
Have you heard, this is the only year for Paradise Galleries to use the new updated cloth bodies?
