  • Season 6 continues with High Rollers of the 1980s crack era in Los Angeles.
Big Reg, CEO "I am The Streets". Former Manager of Kurupt and several other high profile recording artists. Big Reggie has family ties to the biggest kingpins, hustlers, and pimps in the game. He talked with Eric "Eazy-E" Wright into a deal better than the one Eazy already had in music. In Part One he sits down with Kev Mac Videos and Da Hood Postman and laces us with some valuable Los Angeles history and his connection to some of the High Rollers of 1980s Los Angeles Drug Game.

I love Al Profits videos too but you can tell this interview with Reg is different. You can tell he's more comfortable talking to the homies from LA cause he knows Mel and Kev come from the soil and can empathize not just sympathize. Same difference with Alex as opposed to Kev. Alex is from the turf but didn't bang Kev banged so he can get a little different take from the interviewee cause they feel like they're looking in the mirror when the 96 Bulls (S Mac, Kev and Mel) interview them.

Much respect to the OGI don't know what he's talking about with tinkertown cause the carnivals would come through every now and then, I never seen a carnival that stayed there all the time, but back when Newberry's was there before the swap meet and the the police had a youth center for boxing called Dapps.. where the laundromat end up being next door, there was a Strawberry split in the back by the Chinese food takeout, and old Kodak booth in behind the back of the parking lot when Safeway was still there next to Buster browns before they put the skating ring under the bowling alley when it was Lanes at the bottom at first.. but once again I'm a youngster only my family live there longer than My self..

When he said Page 4 I thought he was gonna open up that door and talk about the owner Herb from Chicago. I’ll be 53 next month but that was my father’s spot. That was that generation off Central Ave (Jeff high 1940). I’ve heard people talk about the Jazz from that era but nobody knows about the streets from that era (I don’t really even know because they never talked about the past) When the jazz singer Nancy Wilson came to town she always had see my uncle Lummy Long. He did his last time in Folsom in 95. He died a few years ago and to me he was the last one. I only say that because I wish people really knew what they don’t know about LA, but I’m just wishing. That door is closed forever. My uncle said about my dad “he was the most treacherous man I ever met”. When I asked him to tell me something about my father he looked at me and paused and said “your father and and dude named Hard Rock beat a dude to death laughing”. He shut me down. It was like he was telling me you don’t want to open that door. He told me once he said “Nephew when you see a man talking about what he used to do you can knock him in back of the head and watch the dust fly out his mouth.” They lived for now and they never talked about the streets they just did it.
