One thing I meant to touch on in the video--is that though my business expenses have gone up over the years, they've progressively made up a smaller and smaller percentage of my total income. And at this point, probably won't be adding anything to more to my costs except maybe contracting out some help. 👀
Also man, the typos in this. That's what happens when you edit until 1am. I meant to note next year I will be paying $240 total for Notion NOT $960. 🤦🏽♀

I love watching income videos just for insight into the industry more. As a freelancer myself (and aspiring creator), it helps me judge where my own pricing should fall or just kinda, like, what's possible out there too. I don't get why others judge creators who reveal their income so much. I find it inspiring! Like if someone says they made 100k, 200k while I didn't, it's like, cool! Love it for them! And helps motivate me to keep going too. :)
Really appreciate you--and I agree! Like I said there's definitely people who use their income as very questionable marketing, but I don't get what people would prefer.. if they don't talk about it, they'd be accused of gatekeeping.

😂🙏🏽 The way my stomach SANK when I saw the little 'per week'. It is far too easy to become a subscription hoarder as a creator, it's been a lesson to be more cautious of where everything's going.

The storage problem is REAL-but if you are really diligent about deleting stuff you don’t need-like not keeping 100 versions of the same selfie you can hold off storage upgrades for awhile. I just never seem to be able to clean up and organize it before I’m out 🫣

Ah I’m so glad! As I hit upload, I was somehow more nervous for this video than my income recap-I know it’s a privilege to spend this money and I don’t want it to make people think they have to drop a lot of cash to succeed.. 🙏🏽

I'm so so glad!! You absolutely are ready! Honestly one thing I always love to emphasize is that I've learned all of this as I go, and am continuing to learn every day. I just hope in sharing I can make other people's journey a tad bit easier!
I think you nailed it at 02:29, a lot of the skepticism comes from misleading marketing/people using gross revenue as a means of convincing you to hire them when their net is significantly less... but I don't see why people would come after you as a creator, it's not like you are recruiting them to also become a creator 😂😂
also might I add, no one is entitled to your transparency so it's kind of rude they would be demanding it IMO hahaha
Yesss I actually thought of you during that rant!! Like I *do* get that people are using numbers as marketing tactics, and it’s such a bummer that this has made people assume that anyone in the education space is scamming. 😔

Ooh great question, I actually only got it a couple years ago for sending out email newsletters-due to anti-spam laws I need to include a physical address. PR and big companies *mostly* have my home address.. should probably fix that but.. alas. 😅

Oh good question! CAD! I tried to convert any USD payments to CAD, but also a couple maaaay have slipped in for the 2023 count…
Is there a reason you pay for both Zoom and the Microsoft license?
Microsoft Teams can do everything Zoom can and is included with the license you are paying for.
This is a VERY good question I hadn’t thought of 🤣 it was initially because I do coaching calls through Stan and right now it only automatically integrates with zoom, so that if someone books with me, it auto-sends them a zoom link and creates the meeting… but that’s something that wouldn’t be the worst to do manually and save money now that I think about it.🫣😂
Omg you really have a lot subscritions 😮 I am honestly shocked. We are also YT creators and never spend that much. I recommend really to end some subscriptions you have. It saves so much money and we also grew our YT channel well without all of that 🤷🏼♀️ I really love your videos but this really really shocks me to be honest. I am sorry. haha I know I have a lot going on--but this is all to run my entire business as a content creator, not just CZcams as YT isn't my main platform. It supports my blog, my brand deals across all platforms and increases my efficiencies. There are definitely some things I could cut--but a lot would just mean more manual labour for me. 😂
