@@darthhashishius422 It's called glare.

CJ the baby back ribs look really good have a great week 👍
Thanks brother!
You got this ❤ you are the man! 🎉
Thank you!!
My first time making ribs. Followed your directions and the ribs were amazing!! Thank you !!
Did you just use the smoke setting (200 degrees) for four hours?
Awesome! Thank you
@@donakin8562: 225° for 3 1/2 hours.
Based on meat temp.
When they ever invent smell and taste vision you should be the launcher for the service! My mouth was watering! 😂
LOL! Thanks
Yo cj!.. great videos as always and zi love how detailed you are. But what’s funny when my wife here your video intro . She be like don’t start buying all the meat again or you going to live with cj lol😂😂😂
Looks Good will try this next
Thanks!
I just got my ninja woodgrill pro, I'm excited to use it! Ribs is my first plan for the family! ❤
Awesome!
Holy COW! Or should I say, pig. I just made probably the best ribs I’ve ever cooked and maybe the best I’ve ever eaten using this method.
This Ninja Woodfire grill kicks ass.
Thanks!! Appreciate it
You rock! I just bought your e cookbook!
Awesome! Thank you!
Can I use wood chips for blending instead of pellets?
I’m doing these soon, thank you. I’m digging your Game Of Thrones knife too. ⚔️
Thanks!
Great video and I will be trying this today! Appreciate your channel grill on!
Thank you!
how did it turn out?
@@donakin8562 ranked up with the best ribs I’ve ever had. I did do 5 hours at 200, every 30 I sprayed them with apple cider apple juice mix. Then cranked it to 250 to hit the 205 which took about 15 minutes (was at 190 after 5 hours). Then basted them with heb bbq sauce for another 5 minutes. Tasty
Nice 🙌🏾
Thanks!
😊you are the man
Thanks!
Good job sir
Thanks!
Will definitely try this😂 have the xl
Definitely
Is there any trick to the temp probe placement, you went from the end -“across the bones,” are you touching bones, or trying not to?
You want it in the thickest part of the flesh. Bones conduct heat, so you do not want it to touch the bones.
Man those look good. Watching these reminds me how much it sucks to be diabetic. Sugar free rubs and sauce just can't cut it so I stick with a lot of the really spicy rubs and sauces that are either low or no sugar.
Check out Kosmos Q, he has a line of Keto/Vegan/Whatever rubs that don't have sugar and other things most rubs have.
Wow - those baby back ribs look delicious! - harder to do 1 rack on the original WFG due to the height of a rack of baby back ribs as the clearance isn't as high as the Pro Connect XL.
I've been meaning to ask about the red tray that you use for prep: what's it made out of and where can I buy one? Thx CJ!
Thank you!
They're bbq prep trays, you can grab them on amazon.
for the flat grill, cast iron or ceramic coating? Theres both on amazon?
Cast iron is a lot more durable. It just depends on how much you’re planning on using it.
Thanks for stating how long it took you to cook them!
I know it's an approximate and different for everyone but I was going to make them for my kids tonite and thought they'd take 2 hours.
Now that I know they take approximately 4+ hours I'll have to make them another day.
No way I could make them today because they'd be done after their bedtime. lol
lol! Right on
Did you add more Pellets at any point during the 4 hours?
Oh, I see it at the end. You only added 1 cup of the pellets.
Which way do you like better, and which is more tender. Going to try ribs today…
Wrapping would make them more tender.
I just got my new wood fire smoker yesterday as a gift
Awesome!
Cmon
...am I the only one wanting you to smoke a brisket on that thing?? Doooo it!!!😅 if a brisket can be cooked on that im buying one..sold!
I’ve done like 3 brisket videos on it. Search the channel bro.
Is that the XL or standard woodfire? Ive convinced myself to buy one, just not sure which size to go for. Instinct is to get the larger one to be safe but 2 racks of ribs should be fine i would imagine
It’s the XL. I would go with the XL over the OG Woodfire.
Is this your new "preferred method" or will you return to your wrap method? Do you think this would work for St. Louis cut as well? Thanks...
I'd probably wrap more than not. And yes it would work with St. Louis.
@@CookingWithCJ Thanks!
Did the no wrap no sauce today . Home run. Doing that lasagna tomorrow, smoked some Italian sausage for it today !
Awesome!
Hey CJ, I tried making these yesterday but they didn't turn out like yours. When you cut into yours, the meat looks really tight. When I cut into mine, they fell apart like pulled pork would. They reached 200° right at the 4.5 hour mark just like yours. I sprayed them with water at 2 hours and then every hour after that. Can you think of any reason why my ribs didn't turn out like yours?
he said every 30min to hour so maybe that could be why not sure?
Hey CJ...just wanted to let you know that I just purchased the twin probes and the single instant temp check. Buy yourself a cocktail.
Cheers! Appreciate it
Does the unit come put together?
More or less, you just gotta screw the “legs” on.
Folks need to stop tripping about meaningless stuff and just leave our boy alone & let him cook. We love you CJ, Let it bounce off you like a missed pass from LeBron James😊🥘♥️
Yep yep! thanks !
Do you keep refilling the pellets or is it just the initial fill?
Usually just one run with the pellets is enough.
@@CookingWithCJsince the pellets run out in about an hour what’s happening the other 3 hours ?
@@MarthaRafesit’s cooking? You’re just not getting anymore smoke. The pellets are just for the flavor, not any of the cooking. You can add more pellets if you want. But usually you’ll find one cup is enough.
Not sure about you, but, my pro XL thermometer is not very accurate. At 225 my ribs said 130 after a half an hour.
I use my Thermopro thermometers most of the time. I trust them more.
So, CJ, for this style ribs in the NWG are you a no-wrap rib guy now?
Nah just depends on how I feel on what ever day. Still wrap sometimes.
Smoke ring? Just one hopper of pellets ?
You won’t get a smoke ring with the Woodfire.
How many full racks will fit?
You can probably work in 3 racks if you stack them.
Or 4 racks if you have their rib rack from ninjas site.
Do you think the ribs could get "fall off the bone" without wrapping? I know many like the bite and consider fall off the bone, overcooked, but that's not for me. 🤷♀
It would be tough to keep them moist and fall off the bone without wrapping. But it would just be cooking them to like 210-215 internal.
Is this 225f??
Yes
😋👏👍
Thanks!
Can I try at 225 for 3 hrs and use apple cider vinegar to spray the ribs every 30 mins?
Yes you can. Every grill is different, it take a minute to get yours dailed in.
One cup of pellets lasted 4 hours ?
No just for 45 min to an hour. The rest of the time you’re just cooking the ribs
I’ll try mines for 225 at 3 hrs
I just cooked some ribs. Ninja WFG, not the XL. Followed the method in this video, and mine were done way fast! They were done in an hour and 45 mins. Seems too fast to me, we'll see hoe they turn out.
Thanks for checking it out
Mine did too! About 2 hours and they’re almost done.
Ok im stupid when it comes to making ribs .....you didn't boil these first did you?
Oh lord no. We don't ever boil ribs.
@@CookingWithCJ thank you! My dad thought you had to do that (he's 84)
1 cup of pellets for 6 hours?!
Yeah the initial smoke hits pretty hard.
@@CookingWithCJ CJ, my birthday is Christmas Day, I may just have to gift myself 1 of these THANKS to you! ;)
@@prettyladylh520you deserve it! 😁 Happy Birthday!
Great video, CJ! A general question about the woodfire/woodfire XL-- when you burn off the first cup of pellets, is it safe for the system to continue cooking? It looked like you continued to let it run with no pellets in the pellets in the box.
