From what I've learned from other videos the capacitor only helps in starting the motor so it's not really required if one can just kickstart it manually. Just thought I'd share it for others who're just getting started in which case all the complex setup might be overkill.

Capicitor alters the phase angle about 90 degrees to initiate rotation on start up .

Inorder to run clockwise/counterclockwise you have to switch the line 2 wire to red and gray coz you used blue as common... Actually its the gray wire is common and red or blue is where you connect the line 2.

Hi Thanks for your video. I Need your help please. I have a Rovex brand fan. 2 wires come from the socket and are connected on the plate allowing to turn on or off the fan (plate which allows to select between 3 speeds and to start or stop). There are 5 threads of different colors but difficult to identify colors because I'm color-blind (2 kinds of colors 1 resembling dark green and 1 resembling light green, 1 white, 1 light yellow and 1 rosé ... Frankly c It's difficult to identify colors with certainty because I'm color-blind, so I'm not sure of their colors). Normally these 5 wires should be connected to the copper coil motor, directly on the copper. But this is where I have a problem because the 5 son supposed to be connected on the coil motor are all detached and I can not identify the exact place where I have to reconnect (or solder if it is is possible). Help me please, explain to me what I have to do with these 5 wires and where do I have to connect them? inside the coil there are 16 notches in the shape of a rectangle. It is inside where the rod is centered with the fan magnet. The coil is made of red copper and normally it should come out of the small copper wires but it is not more to connect to the copper. So impossible for me to identify the exact location where I have to connect the 5 wires to send electricity and run the engine. Thank you for helping me it is urgent I must absolutely repair this fan the heat is unbearable, I suffocate and lack of air to breathe, but I do not have the money to buy a fan so I want to fix it with your assistance. I specify that it is a recovery fan. Rovex brand blower and reference VT10-40 / V608. Voltage 230 V ~. Frequency 50 Hz. Intensity 0.24 A. Power 55 W. Class II. Air flow 65 m3 / minutes.
