Synopsis:
True Family is a documentary about the power of music over adversity. Free spirited singer Meschiya Lake returns to New Orleans, a shadow of the city she once knew, expressing her own re-birth through jazz. The rebuilding of New Orleans after hurricane Katrina and Meschiya's journey unfold in parallel.
