I feel like there is so much trauma and shock that we have lived through with her, and just so many shocks with the new album. When you take a step back, take a day off, and come back - it’s absolutely stunning. Beyond words. Taylor has nothing to prove to anyone anymore but I am so glad that she chose to share this with us.
Honestly, with all the love she shared with joe and all the hope she had for their relationship, the breakup was doomed to be a horrible mess, even after having listened folklore, evermore, midnights and ttpd imagining how she felt and what she went through is horrifying, I hope Tay heals and is happy cause she deserves nothing else, especially after all this😭❤️
I will say, it feels like it’s lyrically polished, more stream of consciousness, using her lyrics as a means of speaking through her pain without attempting to make it sound extra complicated or serious. The simplicity in her lyricism throughout the album is refreshing, as though she wrote this album for herself, for her healing, and we are just watching
