Hello, I am a 56 year old man from Germany, you young Lady have my highest Respect, if the World had more People like you, the World would be a better place, Regards from Germany
I was one of the girls in my group who wasn't selfish when we were told to do 2-3 hours of community service. Most of my friends didn't want to do it, but I decided to look after the kids in Mrs.Burner's special needs classroom since I was very close to the kids who were lower functioning. I rode a special needs bus with them for 4 years in high school, and I feel very proud of what I've done.
As a 70-year-old, I have to say that I think teenagers are a lot less selfish than we oldies think they are. I'd hazard a guess that today's teenagers are less selfish than my generation were. It's why I love their company now. And that's not to take anything away from this girl, who is certainly inspirational.
She is not only kind but humble, what a beautiful and kind couple to be willing to include these so many times forgotten people. It will be wonderful for other young people to emulate them.
Forgotten people? I got what you are trying to say but it still sounds like a insult I am disabled I hate pity. You can't understand because you are probably abled bodied. I know you don't mean it that way but try to understand the disabled don't want and don't need the world's pity .We want dignity and respect.
@@lucianakueker5001 it's not pity and I am sorry if I offended you or anyone else, the reason I used the word "forgotten " is because I have a cousin with down syndrome and it seems that besides the family everyone forgets or ignores his presence. This reminds me of my prom. There was a girl named Amanda was special needs and she was a good friend of mine. Her older brother was her date. He was an amazing guy never had a bad word to anyone and treated everyone fairly. Was so excited to see Amanda at prom I had known her since 5th grade. Me and her danced so much that we were both tired and when I took a break, I myself was 2 months pregnant with my first miracle child at the age of 18, her wonderful older brother came up to me and thanked me for dance with my friend. I was so confused as to why he was thanking me and he explained that I was the only person besides him who took the time to give Amanda a fun prom experience. I told him it was my pleasure and I didnt need a thank you for dancing with my friend. I did it because I loved her. Got to see her a few years after graduation she was doing great and the rest her family got to meet me and they all thanked me for being her friend and making stuff so great for her during school. To me she was just another girl that I could hang with.
Noah and Sidney are ahead of their time. Noah said, "People want to include me just makes my heart...." I didn't get his last words. Noah has the courage to say how he feels and not be embarrassed. Sidney is a true leader. Think of the possibilities when we show love and respect for our friends in need. I was a general ed and special needs teacher and while I loved all of the kids, I fell in love with the special needs kids because of their honesty, and courage. In many ways, they are no different than you or I. I loved the kids like they were my own. Sidney, congratulations to you!!
"People want to include me just makes my heart warmer." Same. I work with special needs children too, they're all amazing individuals and if you let them loose in an open area and play music, dancing is a blast!
I work in retail and i dont often see the good side of people especially with Covid 19 happening, the protesting and riots etc. So seeing this brought tears to my eyes and makes me wish instead of the hate and anger in the world we come together in peace and show love to our fellow human beings. We may all be different on the outside but the same on the inside. We adults should take a lesson from what the young people did.

My son was in a special needs HS. Mostly kids with behavior problems not really disabled physically. A girl in class really really wanted to go to prom & my son asked her so she could go. They had a good time & I was proud of him. He gave her a happy memory.
