Well, for better of worse, I've never been moved to do anything significant in my life by a sweet little girl like Ellen. I'm 60 years old and I just ordered a bass guitar and amp to start learning. After watching a few of her videos, I can't come up with any more excuses to not try what I've thought about for a long time. So, I blame you and I thank you! Cheers to you and your Dad!

@@robertsensat380 - Actually I have on order a Marcus Miller UV5 or something like that. It's a short scale from Sire. The price was not too much and it had really good reviews, so we'll see! Cheers! (It's on back-order from Sweetwater.
@@DustyCowdog luck and all that. I got the FenderPlay app last year due to the lockdown to learn bass. 63 yo, playin Epiphone Les Paul Special bass. I'm guessing millions of us did the same thing.

I thought it was hilarious that she goofed up, because it's so repetitive that it's kind of hypnotic and she just forgot to shift. But she did a great job! 👏 I'm pretty sure that I was younger than Ellen is now when this was brand new!

My faith in the new generation's taste in music has been restored.
I got an overdose of Metal music, including Black Sabbath when in the Finnish Military in early 1990's, living with 10 roommates, half of whom were metalheads.🤘 I haven' had any desire to listen to metal music ever since (even during the short period of time when I actually played metal music, because some of the other members of our (amateur) rock band wanted to.
However, I am delighted to see very young people enjoying playing metal music, and obviously being passionate about practicing and learning more and being supported by their parents. Because playing ANY genre of live music with ANY music instruments is essential for the future of ALL music.
Unfortunately, most people in the western world are just consumers of the very narrow variety of music that is recommended for them by their streaming service or played by their local radio station, and unfortunately they are raising their kids to also be consumers of music.
Plenty of kids are into old music. That said just because some new music sucks doesn't mean it all does or validate losing faith in an entire generation.
Love her enthusiasm and smiles, she plays my kind of rock and roll. Your a great bass player Ellen. I just can't stop watching her play.❤❤
I will follow her to her fame...Im an old school rocker and I absolutely love to see the youth take up the timeless music of rock.

I've had a bass sitting in the corner of the room since 7th grade. I never learned how to play it, but the bass has been my favorite instrument for most of my life. I'm nearly 26 now, and I think it's time I go back to school.

Oh I love the bandanna. I’m an old bass player from the 80s and I still play but you were better than I was when I was playing on stage. Keep it up girl and I love the smile I know you can’t stop now you’ve gone too far never lose that passion.

Those ain't triplets. It's a "gallop". One 8th note followed by two 16ths.
