    I've been so impressed with what Triumph has been doing these last few years, it's no wonder they're doing so well. I'm not sure my large rear would fit comfortably on that seat though.

    Every time I walk into my local Triumph dealership, this bike takes my breath away.
    They recently customized one. It had a few minor changes, but the big change was a set of clip ons. Insanely uncomfortable but insanely beautiful. I would love to take one for a ride.

  • @timcarter7616
    @timcarter7616 Před 2 lety +1

    I like the foot peg position just where they are. Forward controls leave all the rider's weight on the tailbone, make cornering aggressively a little more uncertain, going over large bumps leaves you unable to transfer weight to your feet..
    All these forward foot pegs are comfortable as a nice place to stretch your knees for a minute, but I wouldn't want to have them there all the time. Give me the standard position every time. This is a very fine bike, although I would prefer the 19" front for aesthetic reasons. Now I can save money by getting the older model used with low miles. All good!

      Same here. Ok, not with a sporters, tough but with another old school bike. I guess, it just depends on what you expect. Yes, it is not a couch comfort like a BWM GS or any specific touring bike, of course. But I started out on old school bikes and I feel just fine riding 500+km a day on them.
      Well, there will always be people with different expectations and preferences. But in forums I even see people complaining about the seat of my Duke 690. O_O And I am like: Dude, that's a comfortable couch feeling. What does your needy rear end need to be comfortable. :D

    Triumph's best looking bike, to my eye. But for the kind of riding I do I'll get either the T120 or maybe the Speedmaster. But I really like the Tiger too. Decisions decisions. ....
    Also, I'm not sure which current men's fashion trend I hate more; man buns or giant scarves. They look equally douchy.

    • @MrPainfulTruth
      @MrPainfulTruth Před 4 lety

      100%agree on that last sentence. Also its the best looking bike. I've had 3 speed triples so far and they are brutally good, i could see myself buying one of those bobber blacks as the second bike for the occasional - in fact most likely to happen - short quick ride in the city. I've had one for two hours for a test ride, it was so fun but also hard on the back. Position is so you cant really do anything but take those shots in the spine. Also the seat looks great but is a pain in the ass after a while and the suspension travels very few millimeters only.

And I’m ready for something with some more power. Not sure if jumping straight up to a 1200 would be too much for me. I’m also considering a Kawasaki Vulcan 650, or the Harley sportster 883 Iron. Any thoughts💭?

    • @vinniewalker2129
      @vinniewalker2129 Před 4 lety +1

      Go for more power... straight up you'll get use to power in a short time... 650 great bikes but after 3 months you be wanting more power. Go this triumph I'm a Harley rider have a street glide cvo. This little triumph will suit you. But if you do long rides over 300 ks all the time you be at the servo all the time. Harley over priced under powered to heavy, breaks crap but the look tough. I'm getting triumph bobber as my second bike... hth

      I do get where you are coming from having ridden sports bikes for so long.. I own a Enfield Classic500 which got almost the same sitting stance as the bobber, and yes it too is not uncomfortable for long distances but i still absolutely love how I get to sit (comparitively) upright compared to the sports bikes.. but then again enfield's handlebars are much nearer (n therefore much comfortable) to you than the bobber...
