I typically hate it when shows overdo it on representation, but a major thing people fail to point out is it that it's not the representation itself that's the problem: it's the fact that it usually comes at a cost of the integrity of the story. As far as I've seen, LGBTQ characters are usually represented in one of two ways: either option A: they're written by creators who actually wanted their characters to be this way, but wind up being censored by big corporations, winding up needing to "imply" their sexuality without making it direct in any fashion for the purpose of deniability, and even then STILL sometimes get in trouble for it. These representations COULD'VE been great, if only the creators had the opportunity (good examples being Marceline/PB in Adventure Time until the finale, Durland/Blubs in Gravity Falls, etc) or option B, the exact opposite happens. Writers make their characters the way they're familiar with which is usually just a straight cis character, then a corporation trying to pander to the LGBTQ audience goes "alright, make them gay" and forces the writers to write a character that they literally don't know how to write, making the result feel super 1-dimensional and tasteless (good example being Soldier 76/Reaper in Overwatch which completely came out of left field and I know they made that up on the spot) The Owl House is different. Each character is fully written with every single aspect of their personality in mind; ONE of those aspects being their sexuality. Each character has a bazillion different interesting aspects to them, and only after all that, they just so happen to not be straight. They still act like real people, they act in a way that I, a cis straight man, can STILL put myself in their shoes and understand their perspective at every moment. When a Lumity episode happens, it's not just a bunch of fan service for everyone that ships them (even though we absolutely eat that up) but instead you get to see a real, genuine relationship blooming step by step. A ship that would normally be annoying for me to watch this many episodes about ends up literally being the highlight of the show, simply because it's done right. This is the kind of representation we should be praising. We don't just want a bi character, or a non-binary, or an Ace, we want actual well-written representations of these things, and TOH absolutely delivers on that in a way that I've literally never seen before.

Well said, man.

How is this a win let children make they're one choice don't force it down you're throught this whole gender thing was supposed to be a conversation for adults not kids they're too young and are easily manipulated when they turn 18 they can be whoever they want just like the rest of us

I loved it when they confessed to each other because they were both still a little scared and that’s real. It’s not oh you like me I like you too let’s start dating and everything’s normal reality should be a little scary even if it isn’t actually scary how do you say you shouldn’t be by fucking terrified but it’s natural to feel little bit scared and maybe even a little bit nervous because you don’t know what to do now it’s literally I didn’t think I’d get this far so now you’re trying to figure out what to do next but you were so focused on being with this person you have no clue what to do next and it’s just what happens here. They don’t know what to do next because this is what they wanted and we’re so scared about and often times you’ll just see two people get together and it’s just like oh we like each other time to completely do nothing with us for the most part, and move on.

Masha is Non-binary since in the episode "Thanks to them" when they go visiting them, they had a "Masha they/them" name tag on the table, along with non-binary colored nails. Eda has a ton of Bi flags on her possessions, and considering she dated/dates Raine, she could be bi, although I haven't seen any confirmation.
