My brother and I were both in during Vietnam. I was Not over there. My brother went twice. He made it back, sadly, we lost him to cancer due to Agent Orange. I don't think johnson cared too much one way or the other. He didn't have to go, possibly might not even wanted to deal with it. However, the whole nation and quite a bit of the world was watching to see what he would do. Not even sure if kenedee would have got us out before so many lost their lives.

He was crooked down to the bone. He had no misgivings about having people killed who might have exposed his endless corruption. He took bribes for years as Senate Majority leader. He got the country into its biggest foreign policy disaster, the Vietnam War, which divided the country and led to a disillusionment and public distrust of America's institutions that has never been healed. He was an absolute disaster.

I have always found Lyndon Johnson to be a fascinating person of power. He knew what he wanted and was probably the most influential president that has ever lived. He got more legislation passed than any other president. He knew how to motivate and manipulate to get things done, that’s the sign of a good manager of people. LBJ was a very sharp operator and there’s a lot of stories out there on the internet coming out about him. None of these people would have the guts to cross him while he was alive. He certainly knew how to wield power.

LBJ was the most corrupt president in history along with the influence and backing of the CIA. He got more legislation passed than anyone because he had an agenda he was willing to kill for.
