Tried it in the store today and definitely love the nano texture for drawing.
Dude - it took you a full 50% of the video’s length before you showed us the actual iPad. Not that interested in seeing the box or the cleaning clot., I clicked on the link to see the iPad and hear your take on it. Gotta get to it much, much sooner.
Love your tech reviews Seth
Dude! I come from a broadcast TV background but well done, I love your presentation! Keep going, you are good - don’t change a thing - no script! 💯
I went to the store to buy the glossy pro 13“ and was so blown away by the nano texture that i ended up buying a massively more expensive gadget than intended… the feels is so much better with pen and finger
It’s not that much more lol
Blown away? I think that’s overboard.
I went to the store today and ok, its just a LITTLE less bright. But the quality of the screen is good. Is not less bright actually, is just the matte effect. But the intensity is the same. I wanted the 11" nano texture but I ended up buying the 13" because they didn't have available in the store. The fly while I was deciding about what to take. Then I played some "oled 4K" videos on CZcams in both iPads, Nano texture and glossy, and as I said before, is just the matte effect, but the quality is good as well. I really love that you dont see the reflection of anything. I also play the We Cant Be Friends Music video and when I pause both iPads on an scene with black parts, both looks the same. Thats the reason I finally decided to get the nano texture. Im just worried about the lifetime of the material. We'll see.
I got the Nano too and trust me I’m so happy … a screen protector wouldn’t be able to look like this .. and also I have a lot of Apple products and I hate the glare … I’m glad that now you can view from all angles without having to just your screen based on the way the light is hitting it …
@@taya786thank you for the breakdown. I just ordered the 13inch 1tb m4 and after all that money I’m worried about the nano texture :/ I don’t want to scratch my iPad screen so I went to order a screen protector and now I’m like why the hell did I even order the nano screen then ? Ughh I’m worried and don’t know what to do 😭
thanks
Wow looks so good
I couldn’t decide between nano or not. I even went to the store today and still couldn’t decide. I want the nano but from my experience with the M1 Pro, i would see pencil shadow with the screen off, i got scared and put a screen protector on it. I would have to have the nano naked and im paranoid about scratching the screen over time.
I got the same concerns as yours, I also cannot make decision even I went to the store and test both of them...but I found the glossy screen leaving scratching
scratch protected
Word to the wise: don’t use your sleeve to wipe the screen. Especially do not record yourself wiping the screen with your sleeve. The inbox instructions say that you should only use the included microfibre cloth. You might otherwise damage the nanotexture.
can you put a screen protector or a case with a built in screen protector on ipad pro screen with nano texture???
i have a M1 ipad pro in a full body supcase. i just got the ipad pro m4 512 cell but i did want the nano screen but unsure about the screen protector effectiveness on it !!!!
That cable is a charging cable that is black, not a pro cable. If you ordered a silver iPad, you would have gotten a white one. A pro cable would imply a faster speed like usb4 or thunderbolt - this is not.
But is it different/better than a gritty screen protector?
Can you test the maximum charging speed it can achieve?
For drawing, how different does the nano screen feel compared to using a matte screen protector on a glossy screen? Does justify the extra costs of upgrading to 1tb if I only need 512?
It does feel different from the paper like, it doesn’t feel as papery. But it does feel cool drawing on it, it’s smooth and it feels good on your palm. It also doesn’t leave fingerprints like the glossy screen does. However I don’t think it’s worth the additional cost although I did really like it.
I prefer like textured screen protectors. If you got the Nano texture, does the no texture make the colors look less bright? And if you put a screen protector over top of it, would it double dull the colors? Since I like drawing on textured screen protectors, would it make more sense just to get the standard glass screen?
If you are gonna put a glass screen protector, don’t get nano. Nano screen is for working under direct Sun light only. It makes images and videos darker. I think standard glass screen + screen proctor is the way to go, at least for me
@@kevinyu6615 that's what I was thinking. I saw the reviews that are saying it's not really like a textured glass surface. It just protects against sunlight and things like that. If it was like a textured drawing surface, I think they would have mentioned it in their product description
I hear you only supposed to clean the Nano screen with the included type cleaning cloth or you can damage the screen. That would make me nervous it’s like that xdr screen with it.
Well, the chap just gave it a good ol’ scrub with his sweater sleeve and it survived :)
In all seriousness, though, this is primarily why I went for the glossy screen. I cannot be doing with even more stress in my life 😂
Need an overhead cam on the videos brotha. Even just with you IPhone would be dope
I have heard the 1tb version is not as fast from 9 core even having the 10 core and 16 gigs and you do know you can get a paper like screen protector and go down the storage if you want the screen protector will be far better you can change it if the screen messes up you ain’t gonna be happy just for the cost I would say you should but you do you
You heard from a poor person because my maxed out nano is like an aged bourbon
I got sum on mine and it’s not working right
I didn’t know you did tech as well. Thought you were just about those shoes 👟
is that a dead pixel on the far right near the bezel @ 6:27
I *think* it’s the start of the reloading bar (on start up/reboot).
Ahh ahh ahh you wiped your screen with your sleeve. lol just kidding enjoy your m4 iPad Pro. I love mine.
How does the nano textured glass hold up to scratch?
protected, pen will not scratch it
So pleased I came across your video.. I'd ordered the nano finish 1TB 11" and have stressed ever since that I made the wrong move.. but seeing this has reassured me.. thanks.. new sub too so you're one closer to the 100k 🙂
My prediction: it’s not worth it, especially if you don’t need the high storage capacity. Just get a normal one and add a matte screen
I'm gettin the 11" one. Learned from the M2 Pro 12.9" that it's just too big and unusable to use as a tablet lol 11" should be perfect and now that it's lighter even more!
Literally makes no sense lol
Why they made it so thin for it's gonna break more easily 😒
Hmmm nano looks worse to me than the regular glass screen. I would just throw a glass protector on regular screen than getting the nano.
Dude, amazing review. And you made me order a Nano 13" and return my Glossy 13" :D
2:14 & 4:07 -- the funny parts
And 10:55 he rotates device not screen 😮
ESR just released a magnetic paperlike removable screen protector for only 13 bucks lol
w
TIL that the screen says PRO. 🤯
People seem to be mistaken. The nano texture only cuts down on glare… it does NOT imitate the feel of paper. It’s not like the “paper like” screen covers that you can buy for much cheaper.
The nano texture on the iPad is designed for a touch screen. Apple is not a company run by engineers who are morons. Several reviewers have said Apple also issued a caveat about the nano texture. It should only be purchased by users who use their iPads in bright light or outdoor in direct sunlight. Like hospitals or construction. It’s not a paperlike, only anti-glare.
You can't scratch an iPad with the Apple Pencil (under normal use). Why would Apple make a major product accessory that damages the display of the product it was intended to be used with?
Fun fact : if you buy the regular I pad and put a matt screen protector on it it's actually "BETTER" then what ever they used for this screen this I pads screen looks like a "fake matte finish and it makes the blacks look ashy and grey lookin it looks terrible in my opinion
Return it bro and get the regular screen one and just add a screen protector lmfao You scratch you screen, and you will, and it's like that forever.
Apple has mastered the concept of SAME SHIT 💩 DIFFERENT DAY
Tandem OLED is same shit?
@@Just_a_random_birb yap. It’s just the same xdr they been selling in iPhone pros.
@@albertpuppymaster671 I hope this is sarcasm.
Having a s24 ultra with its superior anti glare screen, i would never be able to look at that ugly matte display
Yeah, it looks like the nano texture is a downgrade unfortunately. I would get the lower spec'd ipad pro, when I get it.
It’s so nice in person. I walked away from the store wanting the nano texture, even though I was convinced I wouldn’t want it. Try it out for yourself before deciding.
