I was told once when you see way too many advertisements and promos for a movie before it’s released, it’s gonna be a terrible movie.
as soon as I saw the trailer I knew it was a rehash of the OG, and these particular characters weren't that scary or engaging enough to want to know why...at least not for me...
Watch Chapter 2 just open up and be just like the Prey at Night 😂
You guys hit the nail right on the head! How can they have got this film sooooo wrong!? Cmon this was supposed to be gold! Where was the brutality at!? I almost walked out the theater 😢

I hated every second of this film. I had tempered expectations, but it was worse than I imagined possible. A limp, lifeless disgrace. I will not be watching either of the follow-ups. It was that bad.

Ugh I wish they just didn’t even touch this movie again. The original is a classic and stands so well on its own and even the sequel is enjoying. Should have always just been those two movies and nothing else. Big disappoint.
I feel like its extremely rare for anyone to remake or reboot anything i love without ruining it & making me hate it. They could've done something amazing with this but instead just wasted everyone's time
Hey splatterscast guys. First off, so glad I found your channel. Your taste and thoughts on horror really align with mine. Second, this situation sucks I regret having bought my ticket for this and supporting it. I'm suppose to watch it tonight I'm afraid it's gonna make money and the studios will just keep getting the wrong idea that this is the kinda shit we want in horror.
It’s so hard to critique this chapter of the trilogy as I’ve heard where they will be taking the story for the next two films kinda using this film as a jump off point to get deeper into the story of this small town and the people who live there without giving the strangers a reason as to why they do what they do other than just ‘because’… also the aftermath of Maya’s mental health and need for answers as to everything that happened that night. The entire story takes place over 5-6 days in the 3 films. I see everyone’s frustration with chapter one but I really wanna see how it all ends as we already knew how chapter one would go… now it’s all new territory and we don’t know the full story yet!
Im not wasting time on a two and three when this one shouldn't have been made.
The first and second one was all that was needed.

Honestly, The Strangers didn't need a sequel either. Some concepts are just better as a one-off than a franchise; The Strangers is one of those. But it made bank and movie studios see dollar signs, even if the sequel came long after the original's hype wound down.
Totally fair! If we didn't have a horror Channel, it would be a tough sell at this point to get us back.
You are absolutely correct! Even though I found Prey At Night to be a very fun slasher flick on its own
Feel like they kinda did the rookie mistake with it on making the strangers masks characters themselves instead of taking the creepiness of the first one that the masks were just some dollar store find these terrible people got on the way to commit murder. That makes it more scary, with this it just feels like “uh oh here comes doll face what’s her cool catchphrase” like they are some sort of white trash jason voorhees mask
The Guy with the glasses made me laugh you cannot be going to the cinema to pay a ticket to watch a remake again without them telling us it's a remake 😅 I believe that the strangers chapter 2 should have been chapter one I'm not understanding. It would have been great to see if the town is similar to Texas chainsaw the family just to go to the cinema and have seen similar movie already I was very disappointed but I am looking forward to seeing part 2
