Beautiful Queen Latifa- never knew you song this tune- it is a beautiful peice and you made it wonderful. I hear the N.Y. flavor in your voice- sounds great. 💖👏👏👏👏👏🌹🌹🎈
I heard many versions. This is the BOMB🎉🎉🎉
The most relaxed version of this song. I can't hear any tension at all. Latifah's having fun and it's delightful!
Absolutely stunning voice!!! Trifecta talent: sings, acts, raps.
😍 I just love queen Latifah and the fact that she sings smooth beautiful jazz music is just wonderful! 💖 🥰
When I heard this by her many years also I was like Damn Queen you did that....Sang lady sang 🎶🎶🎶🎶
Outstanding !!! Queen Latifah is a triple threat.
Moody's Mood for love was first recorded in 1956 Dec. 14th by Vocalese pioneer Eddie Jefferson. Compose by jazz saxophonist James Moody.
A very complicated song to sing...
@@WPM_in_ATL Not after you've sang it a few times. It comes naturally. I'm not a professional Singer though.
Bebop anthem
James Moody spoke about this version of his timeless classic in an interview I saw recently.
Thank you! I'm feeling so good with this song!!! Beautiful sound, beautiful music! Wonderful voice!!!😍😘
about time that girl use her voice the way that it was meant to be used ❤😊
My father had this album and was so excited to play it but at the time I was too immature to appreciate at the age of 31 i enjoy its greatness
It's only now that I knew that she sings very multi-talented indeed. Good job.
People sleep YOU WOKE?
Great take on Moody's. Thanks QL

Listen to the Brian McKnight version with Take 6 doing background harmonies--they bring it to another level
GREAT Cover from a good Queen

First time I've heard this version, by QUEEN LATIFAH George Benson sang this on his GIVE ME THE NIGHT ALBUM in 1980.
It's a Julie London Cover

George Benson's version, recorded as you say in 1980, is terrific. But this is my "new favorite" rendition. Bet it's George's too!

I like her singing over her rapping.
E uma rainha mesmo que voz
Lateefa is the greatest multi-talent of her generation!

The best version of this song! I’m sad that it’s not on Apple Music 😞
Love me some Queen. She is the Queen but the original is definitely the best.
Did you ever hear George Benson or Patti Austin's version's. Queen's version is only very good, but the Best. No way! Listen to the above two.@@QueenSugar72
I searched on Apple Music for this album. Had the CD years ago and lost it. Very disappointed Apple Music does not have it. 😕They have her other jazz album Traveling Light. But I wanted both albums
Please give some credit to the guy who first performed and recorded this tune ---' James Moody. That is why it is called Moody's Mood for Love. The very first and original version was I'm In the Mood for Love by Dorothy Fields and Jimmy McHugh.
Thanks for the informed note, Ted Breckner. The original "Mood for Love" by the same folks who gave us, "On the Sunny Side of the Street."
E. Uma Rainha mesmo

Bebop anthem
She’s singing Amy winehouse song moody’s mood for love in her Frank album
This is not Amy Winehouse's music. Do your research.
Hey Sissy! It’s actually an old standard! It’s so fun and gorgeous. Google the song title and you’ll find the original :)
Before Amy was born
The quintessential version belongs to King Pleasure.
My dearest Daniel its an original Song from Julie London. there are more or less good covers

King pleasure has the best version of Moody's Mood for Love. He must have written the lyrics. I love the song and everyone who has the talent to sing it.
Eddie Jefferson wrote the words to a 1949 James Moody alto saxophone improvisation on 'I'm in the Mood for Love," creating what is known in jazz circles as a vocalese. In 1952, King Pleasure recorded the Jefferson vocalese, i.e. what Queen Latifah is singing here, in a duet with an uncredited Blossom Dearie, and many artists have covered it since. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moody%27s_Mood_for_Love czcams.com/video/Vu4QTzpVp4A/video.html czcams.com/video/0BAeHpSu24Y/video.html
Thanks for the informed note. Only you "kempf" noted that "Eddie Jefferson wrote the words" to Mr. Moody's 1949 alto sax improvisation "creating what is known in jazz circules as a 'vocalese'." Much appreciated. @@kempfkempfkempf
