I give my Butcher Relentless in the Deployment phase and then let my Corpseman accompany the Ogryn in TP1 and 2. This way, you don’t need to keep the Ogryn and Butcher close to each other to buff both of them. So in TP2 (the Ogryn rarely has a chance to charge before that anyways), I have my Ogryn double buffed with Relentless and the 6+ FNP, a Butcher with Relentless and a Corpseman free to do mission actions, heal someone or just die (most likely) in TP3 and 4.

I use the Sharpshooter as another Dark Favour sacrifice piece. Retaining two saves in cover can help with that and he's good for picking off a model you left on 1w.

Worthy champion seems to synergies with Rout. If your leader is scoring Rout, then they can get a 2fer with worthy champion. You can increase their survivability by buffing them to 3APL.
I have started turn one with the blooded token on an early turn threat like the the sharp shooter and then swap the blooded token to another threat.
The GA2 infantry are great for going up to an enemy and getting killed for the extra blooded token.

Flamers should be indirect. Real flamethrowers shoot liquid flame, so you should be able to hit anything.

If you roll a 1 with a plasma gun when shooting into combat does the gunner take 3 mortal wounds and inflict 5 damage on your other model?

The way we play it in Spain and until they faq it, no he doesn't.

No FAQ needed, a 1 is always a miss.

@@Neur0tic666 Unless the ploy (or datacard or whatever) states otherwise. In this case it states that the missess are treated as successes on your guy in combat. Also you don't roll armor saves on those, as far as we know.

@@manuelprsnl Why would you not roll saves? It's still a normal shoot action, you don't just skip to the resolve successful hits step.

I wanna love this team but the strat and tact ploys are just so boring

The team is really about stacking your bonuses. The ploys can be kind of underwhelming, but stacking your Blooded tokens with a reroll and/or relentless drugs feels pretty good. But generally it's all about the blooded tokens. If anything I don't mind only having to budget my CP for 1 Strat ploy and Tac ploy each, since there is a lot of thought put into putting your team together and managing your Blooded tokens.
