R.I.P. FOR THOSE THAT AIN'T HERE WITH US TO ENJOY EACH OTHER AND SAY REMEMBER THAT SONG
damn...the late 80's and Florentine El Monte, DQ's,(Don Quixote's) QC's (Quiet Canon), Circus Circus, Flat Top in El Sereno, cruising Whittier, North Broadway, Tommy's, King Taco, all the house parties........the good old days......
I am saving up for a time Machine so we can go back into time who's with me lol the 90s where the best years in my life !!
Real talk!!! I’m in too. Today’s everything is trash. I’ll give my right nut to go back to 1993.
Back when Power 106 was the shit! They didnt play this sorry ass music of today! 80s and 90's were definately the best times in music!!!!
The Noid it wasn’t the Baka Boyz who ruined it. They liked all kinds of music. Get your facts straight.
Great music indeed.... when overalls and jungle shirts were cool - Ha! #HouseMusic #HipHouse # 🔥
Grew up in the 80's in Montebello cali, best dj i ever heard hands down!! Richard humpty vision was a living legend in LA for his mixes on power 106!! Especially for his friday 5 o'clock weekend kick off mixes, one word ''Priceless''
I also grow up Montebello...you are so right one of the best djs ever!
When Power 106 first got started in 1985 their logo was 72000 watts of Music power kpwr Los Angeles. And bumper sticker said Pure Energy Dance Now Power 106. Who remembers that
Robert Perez I didn’t even grow up in LA, grew up in the Bay Area and even we knew about how amazing Richard Humpty Vission mixes were!!! When I’d go visit family in LA I couldn’t wait to set the radio to Power 106! Those were the days!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I miss these days! Richard Humpty Vision came to our school and was DJ for our lunch break in the 90s at Alhambra High! Miss House music like this! Baby Does, Circus, QCs, The Dome, The Arena in Hollywood! House Parties! Raves! So much fun! Go Go Boxes!! ❤ Richard Humpty Vision was definitely the best DJ!! If only could go back to the 90s!!
WOW! I miss those days dancing on the Go-Go boxes and seeing Richard "humpty" Vission and Bad Boy Bill DJ at Peppers Night club in Artesia, CA. The lines were literally all the way out to the back of the parking lot to get in when one of them were DJing. OHHH we need to bring it back. The old club hangouts and the DJ's that played that bad ass house music all night long!! Good times that will always be in my heart :-)
Party Crews.. Rebels... House Music!! Florentine El Monte/Hollywood, The Arena, The Palace, Red Onion, Baby Does, QC's, Daily Planet, Acapulco's, Peppers, and Club Metro in Riverside. If you went to any of these clubs in the 90's, than you were apart of something special. If you slit the sides of your pants to fit the Harley boots, if you shopped at Greenspans in South Gate to get that one of a kind shirt for the Club... If you cruised down Whittier/Hollywood... You probably had a great time like I did.. Although the 90's are gone, the music will live forever!!
Crystal Lei If you were a part of these days, then you have a fam bam and trying to explain this to them is fun. I tease my daughter that her dances are remix of what we started in the 90's.
Yup those were my high school days!! My son better carry on the tradtion.
THE DOME, CIRCUS DISCO SATURDAYS,PEPERS, ARENA FRIDAYS MAN GOOD OLD DAYS!!! I WILL GIVE ANYTHING TO GO BACK IN TIME ....JUST FOR ONE NIGHT !!!!
I fucking feel you dog.. Arena and Florentine my favorite spots to go to. Had to park blocks away get fadded and walk to the line get in all worth it .. The ladies back then got down .. Time flies
That sounds awesome. I'm an 80's baby that love the old school. Wished I was an adult partying when these songs were new.
They don't have Dj's like this anymore. and it makes me sad. Loved Richard Humpty Vission and Dj Enrie on Power 106 back in the day.
@Chris Rowe I've seen DJ Precise! Years ago! Another great and talented DJ.
I PLAY THIS EVERY TIME I NEED TO REMEMBER THOSE GOOD TIMES THAT MAKE ME SMILE ALL BY MYSELF.
Sandra Sandi shit I hear you girl...that's what do but I work out to this every nite
When I hear this I just smile to myself, when people ask why are you smiling......I just say you wouldn't understand! Those were they days and if you were lucky you know how it was!
House music is unity, no politics involved, everyone loves each other for who they are. Brothers ans sisters united, no hidden agendas, no narratives, no posturing, where people simply live. I ask myself when will this be again? Much love to all.
I remember clubbin' Monday thru Sunday 😎🙃😁 Memories at Baby Doe's .. Red Onion.. QCs.. Florentine Gardens.. Peppers (industry) .. Caddies.. and the list goes on!.. Beautiful music! 1990s!! ...
Wahhhh😩😩😩😩take me backk!!!! I miss these days ohhh sooo bad!! Music now sUCKS!! Cannot compare at all
Wow, those were the days! Caddies in Alhambra, QC's, Safari Bar, Peppers
CIRCUS CIRCUS DISCO BACK IN 1993 THE GOOD OLD TIMES. LADIES FREE
Back in the day where you settled beef with dance battles and not guns. 90s.
reminds me of the good old days . Giggles in Glendale and Wings in West Covina . The golden era of music
Who knew power 106 used to play music like this.
they did im not so sure but one day out of the week and it was at night time and along time ago
Jose garcia zamudio power tools is still on Saturday/Sunday morning at 2 am
Amazing. Brings back the best memories of my life. Even though I was just 12 I remember staying up late for power tools and record the mixes. I miss my early teen party crew, now I still love house music, edm.
Wow the memories of the house parties and clubs in LA!!!
Now this is real house music, i feel like getting up.
Robin S.; show me love. That's the jam.
That was when everybody was having fun. 80's n 90's the best. Ever
I really have to say that growing up during those times it was definitely very special for all of us. The quality of music was special and being out @ clubs was certainly a great feeling. I was part of the whole night club scene back when we had (Gino's , La Casa Camino Real, DQ's in downtown Los Angeles, Circus Circus , Papillion, The Hop ) Now in my 50's my kids who are in their late 20's really enjoy listening to all that music. We were without a doubt so Blessed to grow during those years. NEVER OUT GROW THE MUSIC YOU LOVE
1993 I was 16 years old at the Arena's on fridays nights in Hollywood was where it all began
Man, hitting up Tommy's was always the move after the club let out!. Myself, a couple of chili cheeseburgers and chili cheese fries with a large root beer is how I used to roll.
Tommy's in eagle rock cuz we didn't want to get shot at the og rampart one!
The Tommy’s in EAST LA on Whittier Blvd were my party crew had a big rumble with another crew 😆
Damn I'm still listening in 2019 all day everyday!!!
Born and raised Whittier Califas..bumping these jams then in high school. California high school C/O '94.... and now in the 808 Maui 2019.
Ditching parties, party crews, *Hells Rebels* and map checkpoints at tommys in n out Douglas burgers.....ahhhhhh.. Good ol' days
omg, love it! I was transported straight to 93, being a senior in the SGV, and going to Sweet Sundays...oh yeah!
This guy could definitely DJ. Very talented. Great timing and skill.
Wow!!!!!! Memories, long time ago I went with a boy to Los Angeles to work with Richard Humpty Vission. My life was House. Forever grateful for the music, how it colored me deeply.
Man I miss this shhhh I was in my teens. sat night glued to the radio just to hear the Dj's play on power tool's. On the #1 station Power 106...and record bc you couldn't go to the store and buy the mixes.....
richard humpty vission u were the sh#"t. i remember growing up listening to power 106 megamix."memories"
love it! ✌✌
Damn everyone here throwing places and names out there is great thank you all for the trip to memory lane God bless all you great people.
Power 106 was the best before 1996...they played all the best Dance music...after that the switched to all Hip Hop. Can't believe Power 106 is playing "Love Me Harder" by Ariana Grande...especially if they have a slogan like "Where Hip Hop Lives"!
Thank you, I agree with what you said!! The real music was back in day, now they play this new music that sucks. I haven't listened to them in years.
This brings back so many memories, all the clubs mentioned including Tommy's afterwards that was the place on Rampart. Started way back, when u would here the underground/warehouse scene. I was 16 at that time. Ready to record these mixes on Fri & Sat when I didn't go out. Dressing like a rebel 2 joining a party crew 701 Locked 4 Life Productions. Still partying up now doing the whole Rockabilly Scene. Shout out 2 every 1 who was there, 2 the Djs making it happen. Thank You, Gracias, someone please take me back 2 the good old days. What a way 2 finish with Robin S Show me Love...
I still remember the Red Onion by the West Covina Mall there would be a long line
Love it takes me back when I was at Circus every Saturday, unless it was Memorial day hanging out in Rosaritos!
Ohhhh yeah. Growing up in So Cal.....brings me back.
1993-2014!! House music still pumps me up
This is definitely from the Golden Era of Power 106!! Wow, it has been many many moons since i heard mixes like this. Thanks for posting, i may have to upload the mixes i have from back in the day.
Gotta live that big city radio sound. Compressed amd limiters in full effect yet what a warm sound, brings out the quality of the vinyl. Also a trained ear can tell that thus was actually mixed by hand, no sync button, no key lock and no Serato, you really feel the bass.
omg i love this! I'm 21 now but I would sell my soul to experience my 20s in the 90s
Growing up in Chicago this music was our air!
The fun party crew days!
Listening from monte escobedo zacatecas MEXICO.
Taking me back to the old school.
Thank you power 106 house megamix 1993 (in the hi noons work out hour an night getting ready for the parties.) that was good times.everything was different.i miss those times.
The Mayan....Downtown L.A!!!!!!!!!
Hell ya that was my home away from home 3 floors nothing but bad ass music

The DOME (Florentine Gardens) on Thursdays, The Palace, Giggles, The Grand (Gone), The Circus,....I remember when Richard Humpty Vission did Campus dances...LMU was one
I used to dance my ass off at the Florentine Gardens and Circus..........fucking memories of dancing all the pain away. Dancing in the joy!
Man, this takes me back to The Palace in Hollywood when I had a bud at the time that danced "Garage" and we would go there to battle. Haha, good o' f***n days. Viva SGV!!!

Best mixes ever with J Henry Humpty vission power tolls.
I grew up in OC area and this music reminds me of those amazing years where everyone got along. All we wanted was to hit the clubs, meet people, good music and dance. Along with my crew, we used to go to Basilons in La Puente, then Mr. J’s in El Monte, Fantasia, Florentine Gardens El Monte and on and on. Those were the absolute best years of my life. I wish I could go back to that. Long live RHV. Thank you for sharing these vibes and memories. God bless!

Hey Gregory Andrade! Of course I remember the dome. But Peppers was always extremely crowded. Remember those glow in the dark whistles??...LOL!
I really do miss the vinyl DJing days. That was something to party with and listen too. Keep the house music beat alive amigo!!!! :-)
377 haters never went to the arena on Friday nights and never went to a flyer party 😄
I’m 47 and still bump all this music. I drive a 2000 BMW 528i with a cassette player and my 6 year old boy trips out. This music will live forever. The vibe that was out back then cannot be duplicated. No phones, no social media, no BS. I was a wanna be DJ and would always (and still) buy Vinyl. We used to go to Street Sounds on Melrose and Beat Non Stop. I used to come home from Wings, The Mayan, Club Shelter in Pasadena (man I miss that place) Giggles, QC, list goes on and on and tape Power Tools. Tony B, Tony Largo, Swedish Eagle, DJ Orlando, and of course Humpty Vision. Sometimes we started on Thursdays at Club Diva (Shelter) couldn’t wait till the weekend. Best years of my life.
I'm 40 now and listened to chi music IN Minneapolis as a little kid kid. Go WLOL 99.5 !

OMG! I went to every place you mentioned. I'm from Alhambra. Miss those days.. It was all about looking like a Victoria's Secret model for me back in the 90s. (1993 / 1998) ❤️
I personally like c89.5 Seattle's home for dance.
