another problem i personally find is everyone usually uses the same cards. slashes, push slashes etc. and most players play saff and shopkeep. there isn't enough side/casual/beginner/fun tournaments either. MVC2 had very overpowered characters but justin wong used to do MVC2 tournaments but only low tier characters and it's very fun to watch. if there was tourneys like this where everyone was forced to use one card in their deck or forced to use one character, it would be more fun to watch and participate. I am an Australian player [shoutouts kokakiwi] but alot of our tournaments only have 2 really good people with constant 3-0's their favour.
some people have been running gimmick tournaments! but they havent been posted on youtube at all - they’re p much all twitch exclusive atm :/ also kokakiwi my goat
Keeping resources easily accessible is the biggest thing imo, the people who want to play will keep playing. The Battle Network games, mainly 6, were still pretty active among the Discords even before the Legacy Collections. One thing I think is add more tags on Steam that align with the similar aspects of BN: Deckbuilding, Grid Movement, PVP, Card Battler, etc. If enough people do that it'll show up in discovery feeds of people who play BN and card games
The skill level to get good is very low so it's going to hard and try the megaman battle network community since the game is base on that play style.i'm in the discord but I feel like the mainly focus on themselves instead of helping new players but that's not everyone in the discord.We need people to have open lobbies so people to get a chance to play the game and better match making for low tier players so they don't match with a 2000 elo player 🙏🏿💯
Maybe try starting some talk in the other card game communities, I know for yugioh a lot of those major content creators like MBT Yugioh likes to branch out and do some smaller indie stuff
A major thing about this game is just not seeing it on anyone's radar, so I think the best move would to be just to get the name out there more at least
