It isn't always smart to use the K against the JU88, especially if they have the upgraded guns. You can't damage them fast enough, unless you are running the 4x 20mm
I use both and have more kills with the D. But I do like to go against the meta grain. Plus there are so many sweaty High Altitude G6 users and the K is the only fighter with the HA as well.
I don't know the exact amount of time it took but it does take effort at the first couple of levels. Just be sure to go the most effective path first to help level up since you can't reset specs until max.

My standard go to is: 4x LMG, High Altitude (to chase after the G6s), Finned Barrels, 2x 500lb Bombs, AT Mines, Air Brakes.
