- I post parts of my projects in short form content. People in the comments either hated this design, or they loved it. I used extra pieces of Walnut wood with knots. I cut different shapes around the knots and poured gray epoxy in between. Let me know what you think of this design! I am consider doing a side table with a similar design.

Do you like this design?
It is a very nice piece. The Modern art type of people will love it. Asymmetrical designs are very popular with that crowd. it's great craftsmanship!
Design was great.. But epoxy clour should have been different
Thank you! What color would have looked good?
@@hesswoodwork darken up the epoxy to maybe 50% gray with black handles.... that is my take
As others have commented, epoxy colour doesn’t do it for me. I would go for a hone coloured clear or translucent. To complement the wood, or black to highlight. If grey is your thing, that’s ok. I’m just saying my preference.
This. The grey isn't doing the warm tones of the wood any favors. If you're going to have the variable gaps in the epoxy, then I'd go for more interesting epoxy, whether in color, translucency, whatever. Otherwise, downplay the epoxy factor by making it more background via even, narrow spacing of the wood pieces. But it seems clear that this design made the variable gaps between the wood scraps deliberate - so the epoxy needs to be a more attractive and interesting foreground feature.
I thought about doing white.
@@hesswoodwork , ultimately it is your choice, and none of us should sway you.
Love the use of scrap pieces, and think the design is unique and fun! Beautifully done!
Thank you so much!

It's the color of the epoxy that's not working for me. Maybe black or blue, with a swirl effect, rather than a solid color.
A different color may have looked better.
It depends on if you were selling it or doing it for yourself/a friend or family member. If I saw it, I'd think it was obviously done just to use up scraps, and I'd kinda think "I'm not buying that!" But if it's for you or someone you love, someone who knows you and what you do, they'd probably like it. Although I agree with the earlier comment about the white epoxy--blue or another dark color would've been better in my opinion.
I am giving it away.
Looks fine. Buying public doesn’t know or care that scraps were used. Good way to thin out waste in profitable way.
Thank you!
Why would they hate it? It’s great!
I don't know. Thank you!
I like the design and using scraps. But yeah, the color is drab. But it’s all subjective, someone will love it.
Yeah, I wasn't sure about the color either.
@@hesswoodwork experiment, see what works. I have a board I’m planning. In my mind it looks great…we’ll see😀
Not feeling the color choice.
The design is great. I agree with the others, Epoxy colour is poor choice. Black, deep blue, red anything but grey. Sorry, next try will be better.
I wasn't sure if I liked the color either.
Not my favorite pc.
Everyone has different likes.
