A tip for making romance glmms (my own thing I do while making them lol): Instead of making the goal/main story to get two characters together, try and add another goal/main point of the story. I personally add some horror genre, fantasy genre, or sci-fi genre. And while the characters are on their little adventure, you can make them experience chemistry, eventually making them fall in love. Also-- DON'T RUSH THEIR RELATIONSHIP. Most glmms I saw was both characters fall for each other right from the start. Make them start out as friends or something, build up their chemistry enough for them to fall in love. I know no one will probably do this and think I'm dumb or way too much of a nerd, but I can't help it lol To anyone who read this far thank you and sorry for wasting your precious lifetime :,)
I agree with you on this. There's much more to liking someone. You need to get to know the person first, Go on fun adventures and all in all just have a good time. I'm the type of person who would want to take a relationship slowly instead of just kissing everyday. There's more to a relationship than those things. And most of the time relationships don't even work out. You'll think it's going one way and it ends up going the other. It's really dissapointing but this is reality not fantasy. Although I really wish it was....

The most common problem about every glmm is the lack of raw emotions since I've seen multiple of em but weren't hitting that feeling. An example would be the best GLMM in my personal opinion is "It ends with a jump" which is a mature-topic that talks about suicide and it handles incredibly well because it's shows not just the effect of others and our protagonist, but also the aftermath of the people grieving of what's like to live without seeing that person anymore which hits me hard and made me feel guilty if i leave the ones I loved. Another is to help me cope my stress, emotions, and heal to grow and keep moving forward. Another is raw personality of the characters which what aims to the audience getting the sense to make them relatable. Like a character who's transitioning from childhood to adulthood where some part of the gacha community can relate because of how it shows stressful, busy , and living they were in the real world today which is a good aim and lastly, it's ok to go hard on the character concept but make sure to know what is the purpose of their existence and how it'll serve as the theme of the plot of the story. Let's say: My character is a teenager who's emerging to be more parental figure to their siblings because of how absent their parents were. The father is a foreign worker and their mother works at a far place but she's still in her home country but she still needs to do some work to gain some income to pay the requirements and needs for her childrens. The father never ever gets tired when going home in his rented room and frequently always calls his family as his way of sleeping. At the teenager's early childhoods from age 9-10 years old, They were given the basic knowledge of what a independent individual would do when they're on their own such as doing chores, scheduling, time managing, saving money, cleaning, cooking, doing laundry, ironing, hygiene, etc. Which makes our teenager feel enthusiastic about it. But here's what will broke him. The parents we're preparing him if one day or time, they'll gone as the phrase of what every parents says to their first eldest kid. "What would you do when I'm gone?" Which pressures our MC making him stucked in that phrase. Fear of disappointing them but with the helpful advices, learning from other's personal experiences and history, he then starts to slip a bit out of that Overprotective and overworrying shell of his as he finally manages to feel the first breath of relief knowing that his siblings grew up and raise well because of him.
Yea... lgbtqia+ couples are fetishized and put in harmful situations that would really mentally and physically damage a real person. For instance, a glmm maker by the name of Gotcha Gatcha Yuri often makes MLM content and its really disturbing. It usually follows the same plot of someone using someone else and the guy feeling betrayed whilst having a quirky female best friend who wears purple (The in universe Yuri who outright fetishizes the couple by giving her self up out a nose bleed whenever the two kiss or even hold hands) and there's usually a new kid. The protagonist is put I sexual situations not even 5 seconds after beginning to date someone - which isnt a good message at all - and one protagonist within one of these glmm's is out right r-ped by his S/O but it's okay and healthy bcs yes. I've even seen one where the guy manipulates the other into doing it despite him saying no! The community has just gotten progressively worse with representation and are now fetishizing couples due to their genders and advertising it like its their brand. Its disgusting.

it’s not just the thumbnails, it’s been a problem for a while now. people romanticize specifically gay/mlm/bl relationships and i don’t even get why. a lot of the creators of these glmms are young and h0rny like most teens are. they are trying to explore that by fantasizing about two men in some sort of s3xual relationship. As someone who makes a bl series, I can agree that these things are problematic, especially since most of these are, in fact hight school students! But there are some that are high school students that aren't necessarily bad (if you take my series for example, most of em are 16-18 but there isn't, and will not be 'owner' or 'spicy' things there)

Hi, I am a author, I believe that every story should have something more that just falling in love, you'll most probably bore the reader/viewer, but if you add a incident that helps them be together it will make sense in real life. Cause no one just meets someone, helps the other person and falls for them, then coincidently they don't end up to be your new colleague/boss/student/a friend's friend. So we should work on it, this will help increase the person's wish to continue you work. Second tip is that you should make sure your viewer is not able to predict your next move. This way you'll make the person shocked and fascinated, this my experience on books and videos. Thank you

The problem with gacha in general is that the stories are so sexual despite the fact that gacha is a kids game and I have watched good glmms before but it’s sad than whenever I look up Glmm It’s only the weird stuff and I miss when gacha stories were like “The hated child is a princess” even though those stories where stereotypical and filled with plot holes they were better than the weird watt pad stuff (sry for the rant I just needed to get this out)

A tip for making romance glmms (my own thing I do while making them lol):
Instead of making the goal/main story to get two characters together, try and add another goal/main point of the story. I personally add some horror genre, fantasy genre, or sci-fi genre. And while the characters are on their little adventure, you can make them experience chemistry, eventually making them fall in love.
Also-- DON'T RUSH THEIR RELATIONSHIP. Most glmms I saw was both characters fall for each other right from the start. Make them start out as friends or something, build up their chemistry enough for them to fall in love.
I know no one will probably do this and think I'm dumb or way too much of a nerd, but I can't help it lol

I agree with you on this. There's much more to liking someone. You need to get to know the person first, Go on fun adventures and all in all just have a good time. I'm the type of person who would want to take a relationship slowly instead of just kissing everyday. There's more to a relationship than those things. And most of the time relationships don't even work out. You'll think it's going one way and it ends up going the other. It's really dissapointing but this is reality not fantasy.

The most common problem about every glmm is the lack of raw emotions since I've seen multiple of em but weren't hitting that feeling. An example would be the best GLMM in my personal opinion is "It ends with a jump" which is a mature-topic that talks about suicide and it handles incredibly well because it's shows not just the effect of others and our protagonist, but also the aftermath of the people grieving of what's like to live without seeing that person anymore which hits me hard and made me feel guilty if i leave the ones I loved. Another is to help me cope my stress, emotions, and heal to grow and keep moving forward. Another is raw personality of the characters which what aims to the audience getting the sense to make them relatable. Like a character who's transitioning from childhood to adulthood where some part of the gacha community can relate because of how it shows stressful, busy , and living they were in the real world today which is a good aim and lastly, it's ok to go hard on the character concept but make sure to know what is the purpose of their existence and how it'll serve as the theme of the plot of the story.
Let's say:
My character is a teenager who's emerging to be more parental figure to their siblings because of how absent their parents were. The father is a foreign worker and their mother works at a far place but she's still in her home country but she still needs to do some work to gain some income to pay the requirements and needs for her childrens. The father never ever gets tired when going home in his rented room and frequently always calls his family as his way of sleeping. At the teenager's early childhoods
from age 9-10 years old, They were given the basic knowledge of what a independent individual would do when they're on their own such as doing chores, scheduling, time managing, saving money, cleaning, cooking, doing laundry, ironing, hygiene, etc. Which makes our teenager feel enthusiastic about it. But here's what will broke him.
The parents we're preparing him if one day or time, they'll gone as the phrase of what every parents says to their first eldest kid.
"What would you do when I'm gone?"
Which pressures our MC making him stucked in that phrase. Fear of disappointing them but with the helpful advices, learning from other's personal experiences and history, he then starts to slip a bit out of that Overprotective and overworrying shell of his as he finally manages to feel the first breath of relief knowing that his siblings grew up and raise well because of him.

it’s always getting stereotyped and fetishized. It’s just so weird 😭. Then in every GLMM they have this weird watpadd height difference. They stereotype for ex “I’m a tall big strong guy that bullies the person I’m eventually going to get with!” ex of other character “I’m a small short kitty who is scared and nerdy!” It’s just so weird 😭 like why can’t they be like the same height and like not bully each other. In every Glmm they always have some type of hatred towards each other.. then they just fall in love magically even though one of the mc are getting bullied by that mc. 😭 (I haven’t watched the video yet so I might have just said what you said.)
I do have this Samantha who is known as queen bee and does kinda bullly others (mostly her freinds does it)
But ever since she saw this girl, she felt something in her heart
Something about her made her crush on her but she was in confusion, she doesn’t know why she was feeling this way
It was unusual, she felt like it was wrong
She can’t stop thinking about her, she wants to talk to her but she is too scared because she used to bully others and she is afraid that her crush will hate her for that
And she is scared because of her family and freinds, she is afraid that they won’t support her or she will be left behind or disowned because she is lesbian
Samantha forces herself to get boyfriends because she thinks she is straight and it was just a “phase” she can grow out of
2 relationships don’t work out because of their abusive nature and 1 didn’t workout because she didn’t love him romantically so they became close freinds
Her freind tells her that she needs to go for the person she loves and try to bond with her, he knows she loves her but she denies it
She cries evrey night because of this stress
Her love interest, Yuri, she would dislike Samantha’s behavior, she would get upset evreytime she sees her bullying others
She wants to hate her for it but something inside her feels that something is off about her
And one time after school, she saw Samantha talking to her freind, she look at her, not knowing what to say, she felt that she was happy and being sweet and Yuri kinda liked it
She would question why she would bully others? But deep inside, she feels like Samantha is trapped, doing these things for something that she doesn’t know yet
She sees Samantha cry a lot and when Yuri tries to help her, she would run away crying cause she was scared and stressed
Yuri can’t stop thinking about her, she would always see Samantha’s true side and that moment made her crush on her
She notices that she is scared to show her true side
She wants to help her, she knows what Samantha is doing isn’t healthy
So she keeps on trying
(That’s all I have and I do have a story about Axel and Justin
Justin does belong to my online sis so I’ll tell the story in Axel’s perspective

i do agree that the thumbnails are always so.... idk... but also so many titels are just so unhinged. the main characters most of the time happen to be a nerd (or a social outcast) and mr popular edgelord. one of the characters for some reason is Always ✨GAY✨ and the other one denies being one. like- yeah, its a gay relationship at the end, but why cant they be pan? or bi? (respect to the ones that dont do that lol) and one of the characters mostly hangs out with girls that happen to be lesbian? Like its an unspoken rule of some sort. i do agree tho, that some of these things add ✨spice✨ to the glmm, but seeing the same characteristics in vidoes over and over again just makes it boring.

I believe that every story should have something more that just falling in love, you'll most probably bore the reader/viewer, but if you add a incident that helps them be together it will make sense in real life. Cause no one just meets someone, helps the other person and falls for them, then coincidently they don't end up to be your new colleague/boss/student/a friend's friend. So we should work on it, this will help increase the person's wish to continue you work.
Second tip is that you should make sure your viewer is not able to predict your next move. This way you'll make the person shocked and fascinated, this my experience on books and videos.

The problem with gacha in general is that the stories are so sexual despite the fact that gacha is a kids game and I have watched good glmms before but it’s sad than whenever I look up Glmm It’s only the weird stuff and I miss when gacha stories were like “The hated child is a princess” even though those stories where stereotypical and filled with plot holes they were better than the weird watt pad stuff (sry for the rant I just needed to get this out)
I like the artists, esp gotcha gatcha Yuri, they put talent and work into these GLMM’s esp because they upload almost every other day. But I do agree with the names 😭😭 a little too much
