- I have recorded an Audi R8 LMS Ultra GT3 on circuit Spa Francorchamps. The car races both in the 2012 Fia GT3 Championship and in the 2012 Fia GT1 Championship and also in many other world championships.
You can hear some really loud accelerations, fly by's and downshifts of this lovely sounding Audi R8 LMS Ultra GT3!

Major reasons I love this version of the R8 and pretty much any other V10 R8: Great looks, quick performance, and a sound that just sends chills down your spine like no other engine will. Seriously, you can't beat the sound of a 5 or 10 cylinder car.
Don't know about everyone else. But I can never get enough of that winding/whirring sound that comes from a V10. To me it's more appealing to listen to than a 458.. although it's very hard for me to admit that

Great video, you are awesome Gumbal..brilliant sound recording too, keep it up...I just wish you sometimes stand and record on a place (on a straightaway) where car goes full speed...when it is not slowing down in corners

The audi r8 lms ultra sounds quite good. But you all are worried about sound. Then go to gumbal and his video of the Gumpert Apollo sound and start up. THAT is an amazing sounding car. MANLY. Amazing. Beat the bugatti on track

It does NOT have 570 bhp. If it is in GT3 spec, as you say in the title it is around 450-470.
can this car run also on pump gas? or the engine is specially modified for 117 octane gas?

The GT3 today is not the GT3 of old, it replaced GT1 so really these are GT1 cars under a new title and still produce nearly 600 hp

Yes, original engine with restrictors...

improved original engine with RESTRICTIONS.
It means that the air intake to the engine has a small plates added that lessen the airflow to the engine

Do not compare this vehicle to a road car. This car is light, very light, its weight to power ratio in unmatched by perhaps the Veyron.
why do race cars have that high pitched whistling sound and road cars don't?

Actually, the Hennessy Venom GT is the fastest street legal car on the road, but honestly I don't feel like arguing. Oh, and thanks for the insult to my bronyship. It really made me feel terrible.
I came from car racing
I would really like to have it in my garage and have it for a spin every day on the normal street, but as much as I heard, it's illegal, so fml. :P
Well they had Maserati mc12's, Lamborghini lp670-r , and corvettes c6-r's etc,so why'd they replace those awesome cars with still awesome but less awesome gt3 cars for the gt1 class, they might as well eliminate gt1 all together.

Do you have any idea what this car even is? It's not even a street legal car. It weighs much less, has fat slicks, and a huge wing on the back making tons more down force than a Bugatti. While the Bugatti wins for fastest road car, this car beats the Bugatti by miles.
