    As a kid, I always liked Don Martin's artwork for Mad. Always so goofy. It was such a great magazine back in the day.

    These are from 1962-pretty early. Don Martin always submitted several preliminary drawings for Bill Gaines to choose from. Having the lot is rare. You don't take material like this to a pawn shop.

      What you have to understand is that you can't do anything with this type of stuff but look at it. And once the initial appreciation wears off, it just sits there. That's why museums make their money by bringing in rotating groups of people.

Rick: well you see, it's a rod that can ONLY fuel reactors and nothing else... also not everyone has a reactor so it is gonna be sitting on the shelf for awhile waiting for the right buying and taking up storage space... you see it is gonna be hard to sell and im taking all the risk... i will give you $100 , that is my best offer.

Rick, you see the city has taken some water damage from being under water for so long it's also covered in sea weed which will take alot of effort to remove.. The best I can do is give you is 5$ and that's taking a risk because of how small of a market there is for things recently discovered..

    Every single Pawn customer on this show always says their price first. Plus it is always before they call the expert. Then the expert appraises their goods at about half the price. Meaning the guys tell the expert to cut the price in half.

    • @cney2125
      @cney2125 Před 2 lety +2

      I’m not convinced any of this show is real. That being said in a real-life scenario you would always ask what they want up front. If they are way low you cut a deal without expert, if they are ridiculously high you tell them you aren’t interested. No point in wasting everyone’s time if the seller wants a million for something worth thousand.
