False. That's not why they're similar. Literally go look at it. It does not at all require all those coincidences. It's a call to adventure, supernatural aid, threshold at which the journey kicks off, training with mentor, help along the way, challenges and temptations, revelation aka abyss of Death and rebirth, transformation, atonement, return. None of that says uncle, nothing says orphan, nothing says dead parents, nothing says mystery, nothing says two mentors, etc etc etc. Y'all clearly don't know the Hero's Journey/Story if y'all are saying they're so similar because of that. That is NOT why they're similar lmfao.
@@impulse7942 Well, you’re clearly quite stupid. Hero’s journeys always begin with the hero’s not great life. It shows they don’t belong where they are and are unhappy with it- dead parents, relatives, so on. It’s a very common trope in hero’s journey stories that they start off with at least one dead parent. Spider-Man, Percy Jackson, so on so on.
Not quite; “the heroes journey” is much more simplified and vague. It doesn’t involve those specific personal connections the characters have. Also it doesn’t usually involve wizards and magic
@@boltzmail8805 Fair, but if you wanted to go by that you could take any magical story and they’re all the same in some rights. Percy Jackson, Harry Potter, The Worst Witch, so on ect ect Percy Jackson? No dad Harry Potter? No dad or mom Worst witch? No dad

@@GeorgeCowserttrue. But many of the similarities are common. An old mentor. Magical powers or great abilities to overcome one’s challenges. Etc. I thought she borrowed heavily from Narnia. The four kids correlate to the founders of the Hogwarts houses (Peter=Gryffindor, Susan=Ravenclaw, Lucy=Hufflepuff, etc). There's a magic wardrobe that transports people/things to another realm and even acts like a kind of Wood Between Worlds.

Why does bros face remind me of the frizzle fry face from that Primus album.. 😂
Damn it's almost like both stray very little from the extremely well known blueprint of the hero's journey because it's exactly what they're meant to do
ehhhh, theres a lot of details in there that arent explicitly hero's journey.
@@Sivanot there are also a lot of details that are purposefully misleading for the sake of the joke
Bro cant take a joke 💀
@@kendlerkendler2667like what
It's not a blueprint you dope, it's just a trope in stories.

Harry: “He told me you killed him!”
Voldemort: “Damn right I did”

Bro is going to have a meltdown when he finds out about Percy Jackson
And Lord of the Rings which JK Rowling has literally admitted to taking a lot of inspiration from.
Percx Jackson is close but not as close ad SW and HP
I mean not rlly there are similarities in Percy and Harry’s appearance and personality and i’m pretty sure Rick took inspo but it not rlly the same tbh
Bad comparison
@@naveerarizwan5329 i meant that the whole magic+uncle and everything with HP and SW but the most similarities between PJO and HP are just the mythology things as PJO is literraly Greek mithology in our time and Harr Potter has evrithing from the magic world from difrent cultural myths

It’s called “The hero’s journey”
Most stories follow it and it’s been followed since the beginning of storytelling.
Percy Jackson, Harry Potter, The Worst Witch, so on ect ect
Percy Jackson? No dad
Harry Potter? No dad or mom
Worst witch? No dad

It’s called the hero’s journey. It’s quite common in most stories. (Put your corrections below) 😂
The Hero's Journey only accounts for a story's rhythm, not the context inside of it.
@@GeorgeCowserttrue. But many of the similarities are common. An old mentor. Magical powers or great abilities to overcome one’s challenges. Etc. I do agree they’re similar, but stories can do that sometimes. Also, it has to do with having a lot of similar tropes. Which I guess would make more sense than a heroes journey.
The thing that JK Rowling sucks at is picking names for her characters
What he said is not the hero’s journey
@@juliomenendez9458 go look up the original names she had for the characters, and you’ll start to appreciate the ones we got
Bro your expressions are another dimension, especially the angry looking one xD
Jokes on you, Harry Potter is more funny. Star Wars could never be funny.
@@radhamohangupta8645I’m sure George Lucas is very hurt that his action Sci-Fi series which is one of the most iconic ever, isn’t funny because because some Harry Potter fan child said it isn’t. I like Harry Potter too, but Star Wars is miles better. And it wasn’t written just to try to be funny that’s for damn sure
