I've waited a whole day to upload this and honestly, I believe this news has been leaked everywhere by now. It's an Event Mythical Legendary Pokemon, so you wouldn't see any official news about Zeraora until 2018 at the very least anyway.

The possibility of the new Pokemon character depends on a lot of factor.
-When will it come out? If the game comes out before a potential Gen 8 then we might get a Gen 7 Pokemon.
-If it's worth representing. After all they could just basically have Jigglipuff use a Z-move as a final smash and/or having and Ash-Greninja Final Smash and/or maybe just a stage or trophy.
-Decidueye's popularity. True he's the most popular starter but he still hasn't appeared in the anime yet.
-If Sakurai or anyone else believes that adding a Grass type starter is unoriginal and Shadow Sneak + Fly are already moves used by other Pokemon so they have to come up with something original.
-How would Decidueye play? He's a bird so maybe walking and close range fighting would have awkward animations.
-Zeraora's promotion an popularity.
-If adding another electric type is redundant.

This thing is already one of my favorite Pokemon, and the game it's in isn't even out yet. It's pretty much the perfect blend of badass and adorable, and it looks pretty good in competitive judging from its average bulk, high offensive power on both sides, and ridiculous Speed.

DomontheCZcams not seeing how I'm trolling, I'm trying to avoid spoilers, and it's harder to avoid seeing the thumbnail then it is to avoid reading the title. I mean, optimal scenario would be where he had neither of them, but that'd cause issues if someone searched the name of the new Pokémon, which is why I can sorta understand the title (could be put in the description to help it be found when the name is searched, but whatever), but putting the Pokémon image in the thumbnail is a bit annoying when I'm trying my hardest to avoid spoilers.
