Not like these mistakes, but please bring proper weights for your canopies. I had a 10X15 fly over a Merc GLS550. Wasn’t windy at all that day and all of the sudden a huge gust of wind showed up and completely flipped the canopy over the top of the vehicle. By some stretch of luck, none of the canopy hit it. Would have certainly cost me thousands in damage.

The name brand chemicals thing is what gets me. I use whatever gets the job done for the customer, and as a business owner, if I use something that's not a name brand, that makes good business sense!

I personally do care about the brands being used when it deals with what’s being done to my vehicle, I care what tint the shop puts on my windows, I care what suspension component goes into my truck, I car what brand fluids are being used for service. Obviously the job still has to be done right but I’d much rather go to someone that’s going to use what I like and do it in a professional manner.

yeah, I think if you put brand names in a more settle way but not spammed, it could work. If you get particular customers, they can also do the research on said brand.

Great format. Really informative thank you for the video. Subscribed đŸ€ŸđŸ‘ I am definitely in the area now where I need to look at getting to grips with the business side rather than just watching videos of someone else doing the detailing. I have definitely been guilty myself of undercharging to get more customers. The problem then is the word of mouth spreads that your really cheap and you get more customers that want everything for nothing. Hard to get out of that cycle when your in it.

I appreciate what you are saying and this goes specially for beginning detailers. The brand stuff , it depends, if you find clients that understand the product then you are at the right place. The most important thing for detailers to think about when starting Is who is your ideal customer. It is important to know that , if you are going to be doing detailing on every day cars, sure worry about the results more then the brand, but if you want to get into high end luxury and exotics, maybe take a look at the brands that detailers are using on those vehicles, search youtube then find one or two and try them out, become an expert on them don't be jumping around saying this product is the best, then 3 months later no this one is the best.
Amazing insight my dude love your videos and taking a lot of notes down from each one of these.

@@CristoferMagana that's good to hear I always refer people to my channel to get some insight then a channel like this and encourage them to do their home work, i'll even have them shop around and ill tell them how to word it for what they want. 9 out of 10 times I get that call back .

Don’t get with car dealerships if you’re trying to start a detailing business cause they’ll take up all your time not worth money and you won’t be able to focus on task at hand getting your business up

I’m new to the game aswell, but finding Facebook groups that are focused arround cars and coupes, or jeep groups, they have a huge need for retailers, you can always reach out to people posting their vehicles on there, or if the group allows it, post some pictures of some work you have done and market that way to pull traffic in

Focus on targetting rich neighborhoods but you have to start from the bottom .. also, focus on doing great details, take a lot of before and afters me and focus on google reviews, they are huge on detailing .. I detail for a living, good luck !
Also don’t sell yourself short and price yourself accordingly, I’m up to 1300 for ceramic coatings and I started at like 500 .. as your skills increase so should your prices .. the right people will pay 💯
