- Today we are going over the must have options for the 2022 BMW M3 and M4 G80/G82! These are the options that I chose and didn't choose for my car and I go over the most important ones you need for your car whether you are ordering or buying one second hand!

I think the carbon exterior is worth it because third party companies are pretty expensive too with the mirrors, carbon air inserts, spoiler and diffuser you’re already at 4700. Ordered mine with it
Those buckets are dope looking no doubt, but we had to have ventilation and that is in the "standard" sport seats. I have sat in both and outside of looks there is def more "track ready" feel to the CF seats. Had to pivot last second on my build due to lead time on the exterior and interior colors we originally wanted, but ended up going with Dravit Grey and Full (dash leather) Kyalami Orange interior. Did the exec pack for heated steering , remote start and HUDnd some of the other bits that are in it (not sure if gesture will be as annoying as some of the youtube hand talkers say). Did advanced driving/parking assistance package (it's the year 2022... why not have something that makes retaining your investment and driving in stressful situations that much easier!). Did get the performance package (i wish i wasn't paying for a 2 day driving school when all i want is to go fast-er ... bump top speed from 150 to 180 ish). Build starts this week.. .cant wait. Same thoughts as you on the carbon fiber exterior package! I have a 22 G80 xDrive in transit, and I'll be picking up my own carbon spoiler, mirror caps, and intakes

Loving the spec!! Should've mentioned the carbon fiber exterior package as well, I feel like that is another must have option since it includes carbon fiber rear diffuser and mirrors, and also a really good value for opting for that package versus buying all the carbon fiber parts aftermarket

I would choose M3 xDrive model with metallic paint, laser lights, ventilated seats, shadow line trim deletion and black brake calipers. Portimao Blue or Skyscraper Grey with Tartufo.
But need to hit the lotto first 😆

I agree with you on the exterior. Maybe I want a sunroof though. I’d drop the cf seats and go extended leather on any non-black interior

Amazing car , very detailed review. The colour is sick. The Bucket seats look very sporty, just not sure about comfort wise.
Great for holding you in place (on the track) but not very comfortable on long trips.

10:35 that carbon fiber piece is a cover for a 5 point belt harnesse that the seats are ready and capable for.

I wished they had those seats with an M5 logo and adapters for an E60 M5. Mine are clasic 90s style or muscle style modified with active side bolsters. The active side bolsters are cool... just to heavy.

IMO non laserlight look way more aggressive but I’m biased because I don’t have laserlights but I’ve grown to love them
My spec is black with red accents and red interior. The dealbreaker for me was the blue. I wish they could let you make it different colors!

Got 23 aventurin. I did carbon fiber delete. Got moon roof and no carbon fiber anywhere. Love my CF delete g80! Also Tarfuto leather goes well with the red. Did manual too, on purpose. My kid wanted to learn manual, so we got the manual. All great cars no matter config

Honestly was planning to get the Portimao blue as well, but went with Toronto red as I already have a blue colored car.

Thoughts on the carbon ceramic brakes? Ordering one to daily drive, with no intention to track it, but am unsure as to get them or not.
I personally didn't spec them (went with the no cost red steel brakes), but there are a few things to consider:
+ Special color for caliper, great stopping power when they are very hot (tracking the car), no brake dust, don't need to replace rotors for ~100k miles
- Expensive, Stock brakes have great stopping power for normal use, these brakes squeal, have delayed bite when cold or in the rain (can be very dangerous if not expected), rotors are very expensive to replace, rotors can be easily damaged if you swap your wheels and aren't careful, you will see a very minimal return on investment when selling the car from the initial option price
Don't waste your money on extreme braking, if tracking the car is not your priority...

I'm glad you didn't get the carbon fiber exterior package. The gloss black looks so much nicer. Too much carbon fiber is overrated. Beautifully specs car, and congrats on your car man.

Be careful with the third party carbon fiber. Fortunately, you picked a color that looks suited to the black accents. It ties in the wheels and the grill quite well.
Yeah I do like the black accents but I tried looking for gloss black parts and nobody has them :/

This model is missing the Adro body kit.
Basically you went over everything except you didn't. I would argue the extra merino leather is better than the carbon bucket seats. In addition, not sure if possible..get a normal seat than those sports/racing seats these for comfort then again if it's not a daily then sports seat is better.

Only stock rims are 18/19 combo, other 4 options are all 19/20 inch, that was wrong
4:45 a moonroof is a requirement for me since my very first car was a used bmw 325i that had one and loved it and sadly when i upgraded to different cars i didn't have that option available or costed too much from the factory. also having a full carbon fiber roof doesn't make it unique or rare since every bmw M3/M4 on the road will have it and some with moonroof

I like the idea of a buyers guide but for me as bmw fanboy it was all so obvious and it basicly felt like get all options and you will have a great car. How about the key, is there a addet value by the display key. What about the motion sensor? Is it better than in the 5 series because many people deactivate it because it reacts by accident. Things like this which go over what i can read in the konfigurator would be interessting. You dont have to say to me that there is the shadow line or when i add a upgradet parkingsensor i get a upgraded parkingsensor. And about the cf roof. Big point of that is that it not only adds weigth if you delete it, the position of the weight is also really bad. The standart lights look worse but are there less funtional? What makes the upgraded light better than the standart ones than looks? How about a head up display. Is it big, worth it? Like you answered every question i already knew but the ones i didnt knew werent mentioned at all.

I went to order one of these and the dealer is asking for $20k over sticker! for a car that's not even on their lot! like WTF? so yea do dealers still take orders on these without making you overpay for the markup?

lovely car but you missed one absolutely essential interior option and that’s extended leather. Otherwise the dash top and top of the door cards are 2 series cheap plastic

@@christianjoseph7367 I don’t blame you. I didn’t want to pay ADM either but I also saw that market is only getting worse, not better. The longer you wait, the more impossible it will be for you to get one, period. I was lucky enough to find a local dealer asking a tiny ADM, far less than the cost of transporting an MSRP vehicle in from somewhere else.

@@yaboibakalli isle of man on full tartufo. executive, lasers, parking pack, driving assistance pro pack, carbon fiber, 826m black with red calipers. Basically fully loaded minus CCB and carbon buckets cuz I cant fit comfortably in those buckets
I dunno I’m still not ordering mine until I have some extra cash leftover for Adro full body kit (don’t cancel me it’s a preference)
3rd party carbon will definitely not be cheaper😂😂😂
The parts will typically be around the same price as the package would have cost, then you either have to pay someone to install them, or you’re spending your time doing it yourself.
If you want your car to be different, then yes, it makes sense to go 3rd party
You forgot the most important option of all - MANUAL TRANSMISSION is the main reason to purchase this whip. This is not even a DCT.

@@yaboibakalli I have found that some BMW owners feel the need to "flex" about the options they've ordererd. I'm not saying you have that perspective but there is almost a toxic level of putting others down for not equipping certain options.
