Our destination was the village of Madanpur in Nuwakot, where our family gathered for the annual Kul Puja. This communal event is a time for reinforcing family bonds and honoring our ancestors. My dad, as the eldest male member, led the rituals, which included chanting of mantras, offering food, flowers, and other sacred items to our family deity. In the evening, we enjoyed a delicious feast, and the senior members received 'siu'. It's a heartfelt expression of gratitude and a prayer for continued blessings and prosperity.
