Anyone else here feels that emotion when she sings? It's like every bit of her being is for her daughter.
I swear, Sean was so nervous yet, she managed to recover quite quickly even if Simon stopped her and made her change her song.

Yes. But at the same time, we don't see the other thousands upon thousands of auditions that go on in between the few featured on the show. For every Jackie, there were probably 2+ dozen others similar to her that were horrible. But I definitely get what you're saying. He should know better than to pass judgement so quickly.
You can be sure that Simon as Executive Producer approves of every screen shot that we end up seeing. So...Simon wanted us to see him making that face. What to make of that?

I don't think it's because they didn't want to. Never before have we seen such an empowered way of things with the internet and TV. It has become a very powerful tool to get people to be seen and heard. There are so many amazing people out there and we have more access to them than ever before which is wonderful.

A lot of people are saying Simon is rude, he isn't he's just being honest. I get it, his tone is a bit out there, but everything he says is to help people participating improve. He's a judge, it's his job to tell people where they're wrong and how they can do better. Imagine someone doing a terrible performance, but they tell the person they did amazing. You wouldn't expect that person to improve since they think they're already doing it correctly. That's just how it is.

You're correct. He gives them a reason to put that little extra effort into their performance. Everybody who comes to that stage wants one thing... and that's to impress Simon. When he tells them they're not giving it their best, that's when they kick it up a couple more notches. Same thing a good sports coach does.

It's the common denominator. They are always humble & down to earth. These are the best auditions. I always look back to Callum Scott, Paul Potts, Susan Boyle etc. They all don't think much of themselves they all just love to sing and have normal jobs and normal lives.

And the hard part, for me, was that they, all of them, were NOT (our/my) pets. We had a dog as a pet! The rest were dad's business!

Talent auditions bring out the best in us as humans, I believe we we're created to entertain and be entertained, to laugh, to cry from sadness a song brings at times, but the joy is priceless. Seeing people over come fears, fills me with so much gratitude and happiness for them all. It changes peoples lives.
