I don' tknow how to use these tenses.

Actually, since many words in english are compositions of other ones, would be great if you slice them in pieces, because it makes easier for people to wrap their head around the things by association. For example, if you are going to explain us what eye-lashes are, would be good if you mention the fact that lash are a sharp blow or stroke with a whip or rope, typically given as a form of punishment, and lash+es is the plural of lash, so... you can figure out what eyelashes are. That's actually a pretty visual explanation.
