Honestly STN is one of the best games on roblox, it isn’t just a Hide and slash game, it is a fun experience to make memories.
Really though, it's so underrated.
Honestly, it and Escape the Darkness have to be my two favorite Roblox games, no competition. Unfortunately, they only usually have player counts in the 100’s while games much worse than them have player counts in the 10’s of thousands.

I’m gonna miss the early days of Survive the Night: excitedly waiting for the weekly update to drop new content. Now the game has hit a stagnant point. Even with this update, most of the content is locked behind lots of grinding. I can only play for so long before the game feels mundane.
This is a sad topic, especially since survival mode is not going to get any more updates for awhile. But again, I like how they will expand their updates to the other modes. It would be sad to see it die if it ever came to that point, because I have been playing this game since the 5k event. I also remember playing some btd2. Stn also used to get an average of around 3,000 current players a day, which might say something... May Stn have a good future ahead.
Focus on hunt mode? Fine. But prices for stuff in hunt mode still not lowered, i see tons of noobs/midlvls without even damn knife. Its garbage. I can understand price of weapons, but not of voices and else stuff. Its disgusting, they had good challenge system and they only needed to make some challenges easier for players to avoid beggers, or to hide requirements. Thats all. But no, they added price to stuff that 95% of hunt mode players cant afford. I can. But not they. And thats the problem, there is no sense for player to play hunt mode, they dont even shoot at construction jungle cause of their bad stuff and disability to do anything. You need to put requirements for hunt mode to join(for example lvl 100) or to teach players better, just cause its kids. But ofc you will miss this message and devs will never hear criticism like that, cause yk, its better to add new voice for 30 tokens. The only good thing at last update is guns for coins, nothing more. Maybe hunt mode will be better when they finally add stuff for points, or replace most of current token stuff with them. Garbage

I am almost in tears watching this I played STN everyday with my buddies and had so much fun, the weekly updates were always exciting and kept me coming back, the gameplay never got too old, the community was so great! This is very nostalgic and sad as STN will always have a place in my childhood, R.I.P survival mode:(

the way how jmt talks about the game dying makes me feel bad for the game, even tho i didnt play the game before but i feel sad cuz the player counts keep going lower n lower

Man, this is so sad. I remember subscribing to you back when you had 6k subs and Survive the Night was still pretty popular. It's been great to see your channel grow, and I know it's only been a couple years, but it brings back nostalgia.

StN is so underrated. The devs are honest people who just want to make an enjoyable game instead of heavily monetizing the crap out of it. Its sad that games like Survive the fucking Killer somehow has way more players than it.
Survive the Killer isn't a bad game, but it pales in comparison to Survive the Night.

"Make an enjoyable game" sorry to say that but Rachjumper himself said they just want money. The reason BTD Redux was deleted, and quoting rachjumper now, was "because we weren't getting money from it anymore".

Survival mode is pretty much done tbh. The only updates Survival mode would require at this point is:
- Updating Miers skins
- Updating Murderer skins
- Updating Hunter skins
- Some buffs/nerfs/reworks (unlikely)
- Some new maps/adjusting maps (unlikely)
Although, unlikely. Survival mode requires an update to fix out the powercreep issues & adjust maps (IE Parking Lot) that are terrible or average at best for gameplay. There is not much more to add than just more skins, a new map, update old Slasher skins for revamped model Slashers, & add another perk that is probably worse than others.

Sorry but this is going to be a long paragraph of me rambling about the game. So the thing for STN is that I made a lot of memories with the game. I joined the community during one of the anniversaries. They had the old lobby, Murch wasn’t even added yet, and the game had a lot of different combinations you could do. A lot of ppl joined during this time, and bc I had loved BTD, I just had to try it. There weren’t any meta combos or anything and everyone had fun for the most part. The game started to get better when they added secret items too. The game got older and ppl had began to make combos that were good. At least some were better than others but not so much that ppl had forgotten the other items. But once the game had started to have the combinations that some of us know today the game started to get repetitive bc of the competitive content. If you didnt have one of these builds you would have to go through hell to survive. And everyone used these so it began to get repetitive. Ppl worn out and started to grow at a lower pace. Players not liking new players bc they dont like the beeping from the trackers and over all them not having enough experience. So most ppl who dont have a fun time the first time, don’t have a second time to try again. Its just how the gaming community works sadly. Its a great game but new players couldnt get a grip on the game. If they can revive it in the future, I feel like if they balance all the gear again. It would be a better time for everyone. Also if they give some tips in the intro then that would help new players. Thats all. Sorry again for the long paragraph.
i remember playing in game in the first anniversary update overtime i became addicted to it. it was the only game that i would play everyday and even think about it everyday. im glad i was apart of this community its really been a fun ride hiding in boxes while using the hidden perk

I have been playing STN/Survive The Night for two whole years and i still playing STN until this day. It is my most favorite game ever in roblox.
Kinda sad their not going to work much on survival mode because I loved when the whole server would team up together and build barricades, lock doors, rebuild them, etc. I don’t see many moments like that anymore, but it was fun when it did. Survive the Night is becoming a much more different game than it was on release.

I haven't played stn for awhile due to it being repetitive I still play the game when a new update comes out its kinda sad to to hear that survival mode might not get any more updates as it was there in the beginning but hopefully it won't die out

I discovered stn through your videos actually and i wanted to try it out myself for the first time, it was so good back then..i liked the old lobby way better cuz it had hidden gears that you could get for free..and i feel like the game before had so much mystery that surrounded it and that also kinda pulled me in to play it more, i liked stn because it was much diffirent than other killer based games on roblox hell i feel like i got a bit addicted to it. But now idk man the lobbies i go into just kinda colapse the first few mins cuz theres no new players coming in or when they do they just instantly leave cuz they dont understand the mechanics (even when i tried to get my friends to play they still dont get the concept of it) but i guess its quite understandable, and also i wanna bring the fact that hunt mode kinda sucks, im sorry to anyone who likes it but...no one is gonna go on their way and grind those overpriced guns and tools for even hours, tbh i feel like we didnt even need hunt mode in the first place, i feel like they should've focus more directly to story mode first and then added other few things to survival mode, cuz bruh survival mode still has so many nerfs to be done (ex:slashers like enenra and exterminator) and maybe even add little things later like new player lobbies or even rank mode for pro players so new players would learn but idk they took a very diffrent turn...i wish the game was very much alive like the way it was, cuz now its not the same :/
Also i forgot but everytime i do my daily task on survival mode to get tokens, its kinda annoying that it forces me to go play hunt mode for one task or even two of them..like it just makes me not wanna even play the game anymore 😭
Survival mode has been finished for quite a while, but even with it finished, it wont be forgotten, people will still play it time to time. I still do as I am not close to finishing, but since it is finished, HUNT mode and Storymode are now going to be leading the updates and the STN Community. Don't know how long it will last but since the last update and what we got from it, I think it'll go far even with the main mode (survival mode) now getting a rest. Been quite a journey.
Same here bro I’ve started playing STN ever since back 2021 I started playing and I’ll never forget that because I became so happy and I played the game every single day. I really enjoyed survival mode. It may be done with updates, but it won’t be forgotten.

I am quite shocked that survival mode is kinda done, but i will still be enjoying one of my favorite games within my childhood. Lets just hope that Survive The Night does not end like BTD R6 version, BTD Redux, BTD 2, and Slash being discontinued.
Played first at the hospital update exactly when it was released kinda miss the old days many memories.. I just wish they bring the old lobby and just the entire old environment.

As a killer main the idea of adding perks for killer and the new menu where you can litteraly buy event stuff was the thing that make me quit
Survival mode will still be getting new content, it just has to come from either story mode or hunt mode
I think that instead of worrying about updates, which occur very frequently, they should translate the game into Portuguese and Spanish, to attract more audiences, I'm a Brazilian player and it's impossible to play the story mode...

I still have hope for survival mode while it isn't as consistent as it was before keep in mind they manage to bring back everything when btd had been dying and with story mode and hunt getting updated it will keep players eyes out for anything in survival And besides the devs are probably just trying to figure out what to do or what big update they will drop in the future maybe not anytime this year but I'm sure something will come up bringing the game back like before

I am getting mixed feelings on the survival mode ending thing, first I was kinda sad, because H.U.N.T. mode is kinda rough around the edges… but then I remembered the milking stage of STN that’s when the game rocketed into popularity but afterwords it kinda slowed down, slower updates with more stuff. And now almost every 5 months we get 2 H.U.N.T. weapons and a character rework/remodel.
i have always been an og of stn and loved it the goofy moments i had we awesome and the sad thing is that i stopped playing aswell because for me it got old but i still love the game
Honestly even tho Survival was finished it feels so incomplete due to amount of inbalance. I also dislike how Hunt Mode's 95% of content is locked behind either 350 robux or 150 tokens, a.k.a 50 days of daily tasks. Like come on Hunt Mode, i don't feel like playing a demo version with 95% less options to customize my playstyle or even how i look, it's hella stupid.
I hope StN development continues until the end, I'm gonna miss old story mode, i remember doing it with friends. Oh the memory, time flies. I have not visited StN for very awhile now, there isn't much replayability in survival mode and with how unfun it is sometimes.

i also forgot to mention i have been watching jmt for a while and i have been with the game for awhile since the first ten update or the first update and i loved it because it was a new genre that i enjoyed i hopped on with friends and it was so much fun goodbye stn ❤
Survival mode is obviously the best and main mode in stn. story mode will be the same thing everytime as its a story mode, thats what they are. and hunt mode isnt really different. a lot of the tasks are the same and the only gear is really different guns which dont have the variety like an audio player, camera, tracker sonar etc. and seeing that devs are losing focus on it, survival mode will die and the whole game will go with it
I’ve never been a big fan of stuff but the few times I’ve played it I’ve had real good fun. Sad to see survival mode going.

I stopped playing StN for months ago, kinda missed the first time I played this game.
I love STN but i feel like the problem that lead to its down fall was how they would only update survival mode and with those updates we rarely would get any new gears and slashers(im not talking about reskins im talking about new items that do a different thing from another) which made the game kinda repetitive

Well its mostly story bc they are adding more nights they have a lot of maps for hunt but none for story thats why no one played it if they add hunt content slowly and story more faster than hunt then they could revive the hype for story mode.

Honestly STN community should make a discord channel where you can give creative idea's on any mode. This way the developers can speed up the progress, while in the meantime they get a lot of new ideas. Ideas that can contribute, burgeon up the game alive.! ❤❤

I dont really play stn. I played it whenever you were. However, i really think that this game will still do well with hunt and story mode. Imo, survival mode might have been the less exciting of the 3, and there pretty much is nothing much to add anymore, other then maybe quality of life changes

Reason why stn died is when they first added traits it was unbalanced as hell and everyone quit, i was one of them
it's been dying for much longer. it's started dying in august of last year, when they released the skull captain slasher. yes the traits did kill the game more, but it's been slowing dying for almost a year.
Yeah, the traits made it unplayable for me. It's quite sad, really.
If they didnt remove the pictures of gears slashers etc probably people will more likely to play
